  1. It's not a true winter thread without the Wiggum dude whipping out the CRAS.
  2. 87.2 here with partly sunny skies. Got warmer than I thought...and might not be quite done yet.
  3. Well, my wife and I were running errands at lunchtime when she asked me to stop at the distributor...so I guess that's a sign.
  4. Good for you! I changed it a few weeks ago, it used to say "1 mile east of the mighty Susquehanna", which could mean pretty much anywhere 1 mile east of the Susquehanna from NY down to MD, LOL. I wanted to make my location a wee bit more accurate, Mr. Parched.
  5. A lot of the ponds out your way have dried up from the lack of rainfall. I just felt like in the best interest of everyone that we shouldn't be fishing.
  6. This is the only post that I will make concerning the virus and anything related to it - I'm not going to make posts regarding the virus. :) Too many threads have already been shut down for one reason or another. We all know that this carries a lot of emotions and for some of us it's quite personal. My lack of response is not indicative of anything more than just wanting to keep peace and not allow myself to get too emotionally involved in this forum. I've had a few disagreements and caused some hard feelings in the past and I'm keeping myself in line and only ask that if you choose to discuss Covid in our thread that you maintain respect for other's thoughts and opinions. We really are a great group and I hope we keep our thread clean and free of the nastiness that has occurred elsewhere. (to this point everyone in this thread has been amazing...let's keep it that way) That said, it's mostly cloudy and 74.4 here. Loving some easterly fetch in July!
  7. Low, dark clouds streaming in from my east this morning. Sitting at 73 right now...today's temp is all about cloud cover. I could see temps holding in the 70s or making a run at 90 depending on the wind direction...
  8. Topped out at 90.2 at 3:00pm. Surprisingly, I've already dropped to 88 on the nose. Typically high temps occur from about now until 5pm most days. Haven't checked to see if I had a wind shift that would account for an earlier temp plateau today.
  9. I'm going to make a run at the 90 mark today...sitting at 85.2 at high noon.
  10. I had no idea that you had that much elevation - for whatever reason I thought that area might have been in the 400-500' range. I'm at 447' here. No wonder you get all of the snow...
  11. We've made it to the middle of July with only a handful of truly uncomfortable days, but it looks like we might get a bunch of 'em in the next week or 2.
  12. North of our location has been hot - in fact quite a few cities in the NE are having their hottest summer on record. I'm assuming that hot weather has extended into the upper midwest as well.
  13. I'm going off of memory and not from researching it...I thought our max was between July 20th-30th but could be wrong. (though, I'm almost certain it isn't in June)
  14. Today is a nice summer day. Temps and dews both down just a little, but noticeable. We have 2 weeks until we reach our daily maximum averages before they slowly start to sink back in August. At some point along the way maybe we'll see something tropical that gets everyone back to normal or above in the rain bucket.
  15. I'm going to stop posting my rainfall totals. There are places just to my east that have doubled my total for the past 10 days. The Manheim/MounMount Joy corridor has been hammered many times over the past few summers.
  16. I was kind of surprised that no one was commenting - I'm currently getting heavy rain with 1.12" and counting.
  17. Lots of storms around...already have .32" in the bucket for today with more action lurking...
  18. I was just thinking that it doesn't look promising for those south of the turnpike right now. Maybe something will pop in the next couple of hours.
  19. Fay's a stubborn little bugger, still getting some light rain despite increasing amounts of sunshine. Up to .38" here.
