It won't. I can't speak for my family but I will make the best of it. Hatteras Island is a fragile piece of land...it will be interesting to see what 5-8" of rain does.
Eastern NC has been the focus for an insane amount of rain on the ECMWF for several runs in a row. The bullseye is moving around a bit but has been consistently >8".
Guess where I'm heading early Saturday?
Temp forecast for today ended up being pretty much spot on...I was expecting around 78 or so, it's currently 78.2 right now.
I never bought for a minute we'd end up in the 40s tonight, but we'll see.
Sure is...welcome back by the way. Thought of you the other day when Rouzerville was getting 'rouzzed on pretty good.
Edit: The cell that just crossed I-83 in York is intensifying and heading my way...
We have had take out meals from local restaurants in Mount Joy/Marietta/Bainbridge every single Friday since the 2nd week of March. We'll continue that tonight and next week before leaving on vacation. Once we get home I'll reassess and see where things stand. I've been spending a lot more money on food than what I budgeted for but hey...a lot of people are a whole lot worse off than me right now and I want to do what I can to support their business.
Got a lot closer than I thought it would at noon. Right now I'm at 88.6...(I was at 88.2 this morning before the storm)
Also...how often are 2 separate severe thunderstorm watches issued for the same counties on the same day? This to me seems very rare.
