    Thank you for checking. I'm pretty certain the heat wave I'm thinking of was July 1995. That river must have cooled them off efficiently that night.

    Do you or anyone else remember the year? It was record breaking heat from what I remember. Maybe it was the year of their highest recorded temp?

    There was a year in maybe the mid 1990s that I reached 108. I didn't keep heat records specifically, but there was a stretch of weather where we were well over 100 for multiple days, and on a couple my low was in the mid 80s as I recall.

    84 with Hazy sun. @mahantango#1when is the Pillow Carnival? I saw a sign that said "Carnival Parking" on Googlemaps. Might be worth a trip up there. In all honesty, it looks like a gorgeous area at the foot of the mountains to the north. My wife and I love to visit quaint little places.

    I have been to Beaver Stadium exactly 26 times in my life dating back to 1982's huge win against #1 Pitt. (Blackledge vs. Marino) In my 26 visits, PSU is exactly 26-0. Closest I've seen them come to losing was a few years ago in the season opener against App. State.

    So about this post... A light shower has just popped south of Dillsburg, and a few more out in the south central mountains. Bubbler for the win!

    That's how we went as well. Very easy to get to, subway station is close to Penn Station (Amtrak) up on 6th Avenue take the D line right to 161st Street/Yankee Stadium.

    @sauss06 if it's still open to the public, make sure you get to NY early enough to visit Monument Park before the game. Even as a Yankee hater, seeing baseball legends immortalized is really cool. So glad we ventured out there and viewed the Yankee greats from the past.
