  1. Picked up another .06" of rain overnight. Wasn't expecting it. And, congrats Boston fans. I'm being a good sport.
  2. Totally believe it - he is the sports side equivalent of trixie minus a few other tendencies.
  3. Yes! I'm rooting for Chicago to go the distance.
  4. And that will keep the temperatures down from the weekend. My point was, if it was sunny today, we would be baking.
  5. The backdoor cloud deck worked it's magic in our area today...if you were still down in Arlington you'd be singing a different tune...lots of 80s in VA today.
  6. Well stated, this is what I've been trying to say for some time. The past several evenings have felt more like late August than early October. 70s at 8-9pm? No thank you.
  7. The past few days the lows have been way above normal. Prior to that, we were below normal. Like you, I tend to remember/focus on the weather I don't like.
  8. 70s is perfect for now. Low to mid 80s is too much for October. And totally agree about the flip, let it be mild now. Bring the cold when we can use it.
  9. Exactly. Reality is that most of fall is..."warm" but with cool nights. That's what we're missing for the most part. Lows just a few degrees below normal highs make it seem far warmer than what we'd like to think it should be.
  10. Great information, warmer than normal nights have become all too commonplace. I think that more than warmer days contributes to the + monthly departures, but that's a feeling i have and haven't looked into it more than that.
  11. Thanks! I must have joined in on the 1:30am rain session.
  12. 66/63 here. Not super October-like. And doesn't look October-like much anytime soon.
  13. Out of nowhere last night around 11:30 there was suddenly a huge flash followed immediately by booming thunder...it was close enough to cause me to randomly popcorn fart. There was NOTHING prior to that - the first lightning/thunder observed was that close. There was one more a few minutes later that was not quite as close but still pretty sharp...and that was it. I received .06" after midnight. This was well after the lightning/thunder I described above had disappeared, I have no idea what time it rained. I had .20" on Sunday, .04" yesterday, and then the .06" early this morning. .30" for the 3 day total.
  14. Yes, I don't know how he didn't run his AC that month unless his tolerance level of heat has dropped significantly over the past 3 years. BTW - I got to 79.4 and it hasn't gone above that yet...it's 79.2 here now.
  15. Going to record yet another 80...79.4 here, on the threshold.
  16. Did they ever play defense in the Big 12? First team to 40+ wins...maybe.
  17. "Sneaky" warm day here - up to 75.3 with in and out sun.
  18. That sounds like a fair line. Hard to wager based on that, if I had to, I'd take Iowa. Based on what I've seen to this point I think Iowa wins by a field goal or something thereabouts based mostly on home field advantage. We can't/won't be able to run and Iowa's secondary is better than anything PSU has seen yet.
  19. 68 here for the low. Never good when the overnight low is close to where the daily high should be. It's very foggy here as well. Picked up .21" of rain since last evening.
  20. Just picked up .16" from a quick shower. Dropped the temp all the way down to 70.
