    I received 3.42" of rain from Sandy. My station in no way is able to record wind speeds accurately but I do know for certain that we had hours of 50mph+ winds. I had to take many detours the following morning to work, trying to find a road that wasn't closed due to downed trees and power lines. WAY more than a thunderstorm here. The main difference between Sandy and a thunderstorm was the duration of wind - sustained 40+ with gusts near 60 for several hours.

    1. I'll gladly take rain, especially at this time of the year (flower/plant/veggie season) 2. I'm ready for the grass to slow down. I'm working tonight but mow #8 needs to happen in the next day or two. 3. #1 and #2 sort of contradict each other. LOL

    Officiating is horrible. I just love during every game when a player takes the ball to the cup, gets fouled, no whistle...until the ref sees if the ball goes through the net or not. Missed shot? Hey! Let's blow the whistle now. Basket good? Eat that whistle, baby...

    This is crazy...and I hope I can write this that it makes sense: Caitlin Clark's Indiana Fever jersey had more sales on the day after she was drafted than what the entire Dallas Cowboy's roster worth of jerseys sold for the entire 2023 NFL season. Dallas had the #1 selling NFL jersey (Parsons) and the #5 selling jersey (Prescott) - and even with that... for the entire 2023 season, there were fewer Cowboys jerseys sold than Caitlin's Indiana jersey in one day.
