  1. God that sucks. Really hope all is well and you get good news soon.
  2. I just posted MU's thoughts - I don't see any way that we get his amounts from that line over here in Lanco. I'm shocked he went that high for this initial round.
  3. Sounds like it might not be: As expected, an initial band of rain and embedded T-storms is traversing northern MD and south-central PA from west-to-east this morning. Most areas will pick up 0.25-0.50” of rain from this. After a brief lull early this afternoon, a second round of showers/storms should erupt.
  4. Mostly cloudy and 65. Really hoping that slug makes it here in a couple of hours.
  5. Mishkin comes unglued and screams inaudibly for 30 seconds...next you hear Phil say "wow" in a monotone voice. Classic.
  6. Bears have had some great announcers - John Walton preceded Fisch, I'm sure as a Caps fan you're familiar with Walton. My all-time favorite though was Dave Mishkin, now the legendary voice of the Tampa Bay Lightning. Here is Mishkin with both the Bears and Lightning:
  7. I just hope that the first few 6th's of met Autumn aren't slashing a 92/71 line.
  8. We have reached the middle of June and the snow base on Mammoth as reported by the ski patrol this morning was 90" - 145".
  9. Tomorrow looks more promising for rain totals than yesterday did, at least according to CTP. It would be really nice if all of us got > .25" tomorrow with threats for more water next week.
  10. I had season tickets at the old barn from '88 through '97. Giant Center is NOT the same but the fan support has actually increased. My greatest memory was walking through the concourse at the Arena (this was probably in the late 70s or early 80s) and the old wafts of stale beer, smoke, and vinegar in the air. I can still remember that smell and it brings back very fond memories. Even if it wasn't the greatest of smells, it was the old barn. God I miss that place.
  11. I've always marveled at how amazing and unique Hershey Bear nation really is. Average attendance since moving the Giant Center is nearly 10,000/game. The town of Hershey has a population under 15,000. Sure, Bears fans come from all over the area, but you can say that about any sports team. Hard to imagine a team that is more deeply rooted in an area's culture than the Hershey Bears. Especially at the minor league level, but there are also major sports cities that don't support their team like the chocolate and white.
  12. That is a fantastic analogy. As someone who years ago was able to free themselves from thousands of dollars in debt, I can so relate to that comment. You can fall into debt (including a rainfall deficit) but you have to work like hell to get out of it.
  13. By the way...I posted a link in a post I made earlier this morning to a "Special Weather Discussion" released by the director of Met. at Millersville - Tamaqua made the discussion! The met mentioned that the Tamaqua area had about 5" of rain the other day, making them the big winners.
  14. A double digit difference in temps between us this morning.
  15. Some smoke in the sky but otherwise a beautiful day out there - my low overnight was 57. (official low in Lanco was 58) This was written yesterday afternoon, but here's a good writeup from MU on the upcoming pattern: https://www.millersville.edu/weathercenter/forecasts/weather-discussion.php
  16. I'm hoping for some patented Millville snow maps this winter - and I mean this with sincerity, you are probably one of if not the most accurate forecasters when it comes to snow. I also appreciate the detailed analysis that goes with it...what did you do...learn from Horst or something?
  17. Broken line moving into the eastern part of the LSV right now - some decent cells too. One is going just north, another just south of me.
  18. There is nothing in this statement that is not 100% accurate. I'm at 15 mows.
  19. Sun just popped out here and the skies are clearing - temp should respond some shortly.
  20. Actually a degree cooler here at 62 currently.
  21. Both. It's wet in the open and dry under trees. LOL
  22. 0.08" of rain this morning in Maytown. Rain has ended as skies brighten over the river.
  23. Sucks to be you... ...on the other hand, this is what we have to look forward to: MU Weather Center @MUweather Another mean trough, or dip in the #JETSTREAM, will set up shop over the eastern U.S. through the middle of next week. As such, 90-degree heat will be non-existent, and temps should average 3-6 degrees below normal over the next 7 days. We’ll get a few rounds of showers, too.
