  8. Looks like we will be significantly above average next week, with a legitimate heat wave for almost the entire week. However, average highs are now dipping below 85 for the Triad, so it can be significantly above average and still be below 90 in this region during this stretch.

  10. GSO finally hit 90 at 3:00 observation, but yesterday’s high of 88 means no heat wave. Meh summer
  11. GSO maxed out at 88, at least a 7 degree bust for most tv forecasts, and about 10 degrees cooler than what GFS modeled

  15. I am skeptical, but this is an anomalous heat ridge. Thankfully, short-lived.
  16. 91 yesterday at GSO. Even in the hottest patterns, it’s been really difficult to get impressive heat in the Triad this year.
