    Maybe someone can clarify this for me. Ive always read/heard of two explanations of Storm Surge.. One is that it is the phenomena where exceedingly low pressure in the eye 'sucks' up the water like straw and carries it inland.. The other is that the winds piling up the water on the north/east side of the storm (depending on trajectory) deposit it inland. Which one is correct?

    Wiz, what do you think for timing here in We Ha area?

    Skunked here, as we all know. Spotter reported 4" in We Ha. I think thats what I got here, but half of that's melted away... It melted faster than it accumulated.

    Id have to concur.. Big time underperformer here.. Looks like about 4" with back end rapitly approach at 1:35pm.. Underperformed both in terms of snow amt and in duration..

    Thats about an inch more than I have here! but the bands look like theyre about to coalesce so at least there'es that.

    About 3/4" down.. Decidedly meh here as we sit in between bands sucking subsidence. Very light snow, tiny flakes. Hope that eastern band rotates through, else big bust potential here if these bands sit and rot where they are.

    THeyre practically kissing here. Did any models show this close in interaction this early on?

    Yeah, you guys cant miss. Its we out west who are hanging by a thread as you know. As Scott said, they probably hadnt viewed the Euro before issuing those WSWs.. Im thinking theyre either vomiting in their mouth a little bit now, or decided the run was to be skipped over. Wish I knew which.

    Yea I was kind of shocked to see that, especially after the latest Euro run.. I guess that shows how much credence its not getting.

    Whoa, this wasnt expected back here, at least by me. Despite Euro's best efforts to say otherwise, WSW just went up for a good chunk of the area.

    I got mocked for mentioning the JMA last night.. I kind of put Icon in the same boat, but since it's already been brought up in the 12 model suite, 12z Icon looks interesting.. Nice stream interaction going on here, if not a bit late for those of us not in ENE:
