Off topic question... Has anyone here been to the speedway in lights at Bristol? Is it worth it? $15 a car... Thinking of taking the family tomorrow, thought I should get some opinions on the matter....
would consider where the profits are going...most of the time it's for a great cause like the Children's Burn Center, etcetera.

Angus Barn. You'll love it. Bring your snow shovel. It'll probably be January.
Make sure you have a left-handed shovel for me

Mount Mitchell had 34 inches from the storm. Think Boone was 21 officially. Both need to be confirmed. Amazing storm. I could get use to white ground 3 months out of the year.
Had 21-23" here in Todd...from measurements in various places...field, driveway, deck, etcetera. Sitting at 30 degrees now...clear and cold with some winds

I posted that he’s a lot shorter than me and I’m not tall. It doesn’t diminish him as a. Meteorologist or human being.
Thanks...have a great winter!

Howdy yall...I am from the SE forum...kinda pissed tonight as some of our folks have had convo about Jim Cantore's height...I hope he's on this board...I've seen folks get deleted for less than this, but we've got moderators and seasoned folks posting about Jim's height...maybe they are jealous because of his money, or ladies...but I got booted tonight when I questioned them about having conversation in the observation thread about Jim's height....it's so crazy!
-
Hard to believe that the moderators and other folks are having conversation on the observation thread about Jim Cantore's height...it's crazy...if any of us did that we'd be out. Anyway...it's snowing like crazy here and my dog got stuck in the snow...she disappeared into a drift

It's an obs thread. The storm brought Jerry into the forum. I observed this and commented.
10-4...didn't know we'd be discussing someone's height...I bet he's got more money and play than all of us put together...but that's just my observation

That’s far from the longest post ever. Check out some of Tips posts in the New England forum or similar posts to this in the NYC and NE forums leading up to/during snow storms. Some of them are endless!
Ok...thx man Maybe sneak in to your New England thread and poop out a dissertation

In the open area in front of our cabin, sticks are anywhere between 17-22", but 18-19" were the most consistent. The closest report to me is 17.5" as of 12:50pm and accumulating type wen on for about an hour after that. Solid plates are still falling as super saturation aloft is lost. Hoping for a 1-3" backend bonus.
Probably more than that...as this has seemed to be an over-performer

still snowing here...but it's very fine and my wife reports (snowed in at work...ER Nurse) there's sleet in Newland
-
Maybe some of my mountain folks can comment...but are we going to see 16 more hours of precip in our area?
-
Great shot! Thanks for sharing Got some family out in Surl just west of y'all. Be safe and hope yall stay all snow and no ZR/IP
