    Older gentleman told me we would have a hard winter...he said the numerous tent making caterpillars was a sign of a hard winter Ha! We'll see glad to be back on the site as we head into winter and cooler weather

    Hearing a lot of chatter up here in the mountains about snow coming in Tuesday/Wednesday...it would be nice to have one more snowy event...but I am skeptical and actually ready for spring

    Still IMO, looks like a bad ZR event, esp. for foothills of NC, upland SC, and piedmont...will be interesting to see how this goes. I'd rather skip out on a bad ice storm

    Good point, I didn't see that system coming up Thursday...looks very interesting...would love to see another nice storm for our region. Have a good one!

    Sup. drives me nuts with a 2-hour delay...gaining nothing as temps go from 14 to 15 in 2 hours...the delay gains them nothing

    Thanks for this info, we appreciate it, and I agree with you...last half of January into Feb, will be most favorable. A local up here in Boone, told me that Ol' Man Winter is out sharpening his axe!

    Hard to believe that the moderators and other folks are having conversation on the observation thread about Jim Cantore's height...it's crazy...if any of us did that we'd be out. Anyway...it's snowing like crazy here and my dog got stuck in the snow...she disappeared into a drift
