What @Kmlwx said is great advice. Another option would be to take exit 57 onto Boston Street and cut through the city. It would of course add time, but there are some great spots in Canton, Fells Point, or Federal Hill to grab some food and get a vibe for the city. If you’re in a hurry, what @Kmlwx said is the best advice, but as much as we get a bad rap, we’ve got some cool spots.

All speculation, and Esq @hstorm would grill me on the stand for this, but they were both going so fast side by side that the gray car just came up more quickly on the car in her lane than she expected. She didn’t look because she was likely panicked. Also, father and son killed just confirmed on WBAL11. So sad.

I deduced that from the article I read. And it is absolutely obvious in the video that both cars were going much faster than other vehicles on the road. They collided and still passed other cars.

As far as the two cars, it sounds like they were side by side and the gray tried to overtake the white but had to go left to avoid rear-ending the car in front. Gray car f’d up but white was involved too. They were both going way too fast.

It's crazy the number of people I see on the roads using their phones while driving. Not saying that's the case here, but I have to believe investigators will be looking at the phone records of both drivers. Personally, besides it being really unsafe to text and drive, I'd hate to have to defend myself if I was involved in an accident while on the phone even if it had nothing to do with the accident.

Last I heard, they are alive. I don’t want to rush to judgement, but if this person was impaired, racing, etc, then, yeah, I totally agree. I drive that part of the beltway everyday and I don’t see how someone was traveling at that rate of speed and managed to get in between the openings of the jersey walls. The openings are spaced far apart and they are not big. Just tragic.

I have not heard details other than it sounds like a vehicle somehow used one of the openings in the jersey walls and drove into the work zone. Sounds like most if not all fatalities were workers.

The accident on the Baltimore beltway today is absolutely horrible.

I've been there once and it's phenomenal skiing. They are less than three feet away from their all-time snowiest winter. The record is 668" and before today, they are at 634" so they shouldn't have any trouble beating it soon.

That could be from the drought though.

BWI hit 40 intra-hour. Still pathetic that the last full day of winter at 40 degrees was a top 5’ish coldest day of the fall and winter.

BWI up to 39 last hour. If they could somehow stay there, it would be the first sub-40 day since early February and would only be the 5th time since Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, they should crack 40 this hour. What a craptastic winter.
