  1. I’m a little surprised the window didn’t break.
  2. On my ipad, the garage floor looked like it had been painted with the flecks paint. Now on my laptop, it just looks like very clean concrete.
  3. It’s frustrating to the point of infuriating.
  4. Dews are really low this morning but the breeze has kept me from getting to freezing. 34 here now.
  5. Dude. That’s awesome. I’ve been struggling to motivate to get my garden going this year because I always have way, way too much for personal use. This is the motivation I needed. Also, I just finished watching this and would recommend it to everyone. https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/frontline/film/coronavirus-pandemic/
  6. Yeah. I just didn’t want to sound like a dooms dayer.
  7. I’d take that bet, but I want you to be right.
  8. That sucks. Have you ever turned a sprinkler on one overnight when there’s a freeze?
  9. Ugggggghhhhh!,, My girlfriend is a big fantasy football fan and I get that she wants to watch the draft, but for Gods sake, do we have to watch a repeat of the 2017 draft?!?! I’m keeping my sideburns forever.
  10. This one was a female too. At least I think so. She was fast though. And why didn’t she fly? She was clearly scared and confused.
  11. My buddy down the street shared some of that with me just before the quarantine. It’s good stuff! Walking home that night was fun.
  12. Other than the buffalo roaming through Pikesville 15 years ago, just saw the craziest thing. A damn turkey was trapped in my neighbor’s yard, hopped the fence and ran through ours on his way down the street. I thought it was a pet peacock at first, but no doubt about it, it was a wild turkey! I’m guess he got caught up in the thunderstorm gusts.
  13. Because it took someone going over the head of the federal government to a different country to get the ball rolling.
  14. So what you’re telling us is that you had an opportunity to put in a garage pit and you didn’t do it. I’ll bet you wore plastic cleats as a kid too! I bought my 1941 house about 15 years ago from the original owner’s daughter who was willed the home when her mother died. Had a full inspection of course, and he was great. But about a year after I bought it, I had the annual furnace service done and the guy was shocked to see the original oil tank in the basement. There were areas that looked so bad on the tank that he was sure he could punch a screwdriver through. I got it replaced immediately and also had it moved outside to under the front porch. In hindsight, I should have converted to natural gas right then, but I can be pretty dumb.
  15. Apparently they’ve invented six foot scissors and nail files.
  16. The 30 days of lock down, etc, was a result of what I think is the lesser of two evils. The way some people are selfishly acting right now is anything but compassionate in spite of the fact that what transpired in the last 30 days may have saved them or a loved one. And I’m not on the side that catching this virus will kill everyone, but it would have done more damage, and still can, if there isn’t adequate health care. There has been adequate care so far, but It’s a result of the very lock down some people want to eliminate. I’m all for reopening, but it has to be slow.
  17. I wish there was a way for all of us to see what the hospitals in cities across the country would have looked like had there not been a lock down. There are no easy answers, but doing nothing and letting this run uncontrolled with no compassion doesn’t seem like a good option to me.
  18. It doesn't matter if people are in favor of or not in favor of easing the lock downs. The way this has to be done is easing them slowly so that hospitals and health care workers can keep up. Without a vaccine, the best scenario at this point is to try to control the speed of infections. That's why we are in lock down mode. And part of the equation of how fast this spreads has to consider the potato heads like the ones in Harrisburg now who don't seem to comprehend what is being done. Opening is going to happen. But slowly.
  19. That was what I was referencing in my vague post above. I wish all the people that had that kind of pull with the big J could get Him to give us a vaccine.
  20. It's funny how some people think that if we do something as a society for the good of the society, it's socialism. And no, I am not pointing fingers in this thread.
  21. The 500,000 tests that Hogan and his wife acquired is greater than the number of tests administered so far by the top four states combined. That's ridiculous. That's what people should be protesting.
  22. With the price of oil in the -30's a barrel, now is the time!
  23. I wish I could buy all my future heating oil now.
