  1. .68” last night. The “thin line” is close.
  2. 0.17” from the storm this evening. Hopefully there’s another one behind it.
  3. I got busy with work, but turned on the power and no smell. I’ll plug in something to it now. Thanks for checking in.
  4. I'm guessing that could be good because we might get the storms in before sunset?
  5. Lol. Thanks. I have turned back on the power and hopefully there’s no more smell. One thing I noticed is that the breaker to turn off that room is the breaker (15 amps) for the original 3 rooms upstairs. That seems like a lot to me, but I’m an electrical dummy. Also, I’m not sure if you remember my house or even went upstairs (though I do remember you at the party working hard for that one girl...)
  6. @losetoa6 I have a problem and wondered if I could get your expertise. There’s a strong electric smell in one of our rooms upstairs that has two outlets and an overhead light. There is a digital alarm clock plugged into one outlet which appears fine. In the other outlet is a timer that turns on three 4 watt window candles in the evening. The timer covers the outlet and when I unplugged it, there is a light dusting of black soot on the back and sides of the timer. Nothing on the outlet. I turned off the power, pulled the outlet out of the box without disconnecting it, and am airing out the room. I’ll leave the outlets free of any connections, turn the power back on shortly, and see if the smell returns. My hope is that the timer has gone bad and not the outlet. If it’s not the timer, will the outlet still produce the smell if nothing is plugged in? And if it’s the outlet, is it something as simple as switching out the outlet?
  7. That's really cool. What veggies have you grown there?
  8. I don’t mind admitting that I had to look up hugelkultur bed. Very cool.
  9. I prefer bush beans because the climbing varieties overtake everything. I’ve got a lot of climbers from last year germinating in the garden that I hate throwing away so I’m moving them to a setting on the other side of the yard where they can do whatever they want.
  10. Another beautiful June morning and heavy dew on the lawn. 59.
  11. Not nearly as bad here today compared to yesterday. I worked outside most of yesterday and I’ve already had 2 quarts of water this morning. I guess the Natty Boh’s yesterday didn’t help.
  12. I’m not expecting anything today and am watering the garden after a dump run this morning, so maybe I get surprised this afternoon. Also, water here is silly cheap, but a sprinkler isn’t the same as rain water.
  13. Where’s @C.A.P.E.’s emoji? .15” here. .Two day total, .68”
  14. I’ve Maxwell Housed my way to .07” so far. The CoCoRaHS map tomorrow morning is going to be painful.
  15. I hope that everyone knows that I’m kidding in the severe thread.
  16. I’m surrounded by thunder, lightning, and rain. A solid trace here. I just put the mower away so I’m ready.
  17. You really have to question your turd rating when Mrs. J gets after you.
  18. .53” here but I’m not upset about the low’ish total with all that may still come later today. Pleasant out there this morning.
  19. Still quite a bit of showers and non severe thunderstorms to the southwest to pass through. Good sleeping weather.
  20. I'm right there with you, but there may be more later. Cross your fingers.
  21. You can’t hog all the cool weather AND the rain. And where is Mattie?
  22. It’s a beautiful evening. Low 90s during the day and cool evenings are fine with me for the next 3 months. Of course, throw in a few @WxUSAF 1”storms every 4 or 5 days, and I’m set.
