Hi, all! This.is "blackrock" who used to post from West Michigan. Made the big move to the Tug this summer...so needless to say, I am excited for some 300 inch + winters and will definitely be joining in on your lake effect discussions.
Nice shot, Bo! Foliage is behind here...but has exploded in color the last couple days.
I am going to miss the updates from the Spring Lake/Muskegon area. I guess I won't have to be disappointed reading how 20-30 minutes north of me got twice as much snow as I did.

MKX broke its several hundred day tornado watch-less streak on July 1st...and there were 0 tornadoes confirmed in the area on that day. Several weak ones occurred earlier in the year on days with no watch in effect.
GRR pulled the trigger recently also. Makes the DTW streak look even more impressive now because it stands out even more.

For those of you not liking the current weather pattern this is what GRR had to say today.
The first week of April (1st through 7th) is very likely to end up colder than normal. Curiously, over the past 30 years the first week of April was colder than the NCEI normals nearly twice as frequently as it was warmer than those normals. So, this should be no surprise. If fact, in the past 10 years only 2008 and 2012 were warmer than normal during the first week of April.

Question about Holland Tulip Festival...
Vacation has been planned to come for the Tulip Festival. With what seems like a slow start to spring, anything I should be aware of? We are going for an early morning photo tour before it opens so we have concerns about the development of the tulips.
Still too early to know. Several recent few years have seen early blooms, but this year is definitely colder right now so development is slower right now. My daffodils are barely breaking through the surface.

GRR was also bullish on double digit totals for SWMI but it ended up a nice 4-8" event instead..you're not the only region that suffered that fate
I was supposed to get 10-14" and ended up with a trace so there were a lot of busts out there.

Thank you !
Low of -5.6C this morning, we have now -4.8C.
Temperatures ranging from -8 and +1 across the territory.
EC expects some showers this afternoon and wetter conditions for upcoming days. GFS is however more reluctant.
Wait & see !
The pictures were great

If you get any flakes, post some pictures for those of us further south.

I am jealous (sort of). Pretty cool to see snow reappearing in our subforum.
