Happy Turkey Day everyone. The deluge for early next week has backed off a little on the models. I am not seeing the crazy firehose totals anymore at least. Looks promising after that for a return to upslope snows and occasional impulses swinging through NNE. Also a possible coastal being hinted at for late next week.

That still won’t help with the physical reality of beaming data from a satellite to a backyard. No way to shortcut that. Pings may go from well over 1,000ms to perhaps 500-700ms. Modern online games work best 100ms or less. So probably still no dice.

While you guys are struggling with Spectrum performance, I am struggling to get them to come to my house and hook me up. Right now, I have two LTE modems and a Viasat link that I pass through a load-balancing router. Basically, I take three super-shitty connections and form them into one shitty connection. Spectrum has to be better than that mess.

For SNE yes. And the 2-3 this morning for you that he isn’t getting. His area hasn’t gotten any synoptic snow of note hence the big deficit there. Upslope magic doesn’t happen in that area.

The good snow has mostly all been upslope stuff and clearly you are not in a great zone for that. The snow today should put Randolph up over 14” so far on the season. I think you are getting shafted because most of the synoptic precip so far has been rain. Hopefully one last garbage rain bomb to power through and then we can get the real party started.

Next week looks awful. I really hope the models are wrong about Monday-Thursday with the deluge.

I catch plenty of blue crabs in DE in the summer. No lack of that resource.

I will only eat seafood if I prepare it myself or it’s done just right. Otherwise the smell and texture gets to me too.
