  1. That is partly true, but my average in November is around 15” so definitely somewhat off the pace. There is a ton of variability in the data given it is an early month, however, so 9 inches is probably around the median. The locals here have said the biggest thing setting this November apart so far is the lack of any sort of persistent cold and that the snow that did fall barely even lasted a day, much less formed any sort of pack. Things look to turn around starting tomorrow, however.
  2. Wow, nice haul. 8.9" in November according to the Randolph observer. A bit off the normal pace. Many people around Randolph Hill have been commenting that it's been a slow start, but they expect it to pick up soon. Definitely been a different winter so far between our two areas. I can see why folks in your area would be scratching their heads about all the grousing in other spots. There have been several nice events already.
  3. GYX talking up some nice squalls for tomorrow for the usual areas.
  4. Last few GFS runs have really crushed NNH with the coastal Dec 5/6. 12z is over a foot here.
  5. Need a solid synoptic system to jumpstart the ski places, at least around here.
  6. With @jculligan recording 3.33" in Jackson I am not as suspicious of my numbers as I have been in the past.
  7. He's way better at measuring than me is one big reason. LOL The other is probably topography. His spot is tucked back and heavily wooded. I'm thinking he gets shadowed a little in these sideways rain events, whereas my lot is much more open and I don't have my Stratus in the woods. It'll be different in snowfall retention battles. His spot can only be described as a weenie's dream. Zero exposure. The snow must sit in piles in there for a very long time. My back lawn gets absolutely baked, on the other hand. I always defer to his readings as the final verdict, I am providing mine just as a data point. I wouldn't suggest basing a scientific research paper on my numbers. LOL
  8. Nice. Obviously S/SE flow will be bread and butter for you once it gets cold.
  9. 2.52” as the heavy stuff departs for now. I feel like my spot definitely got some enhancement. Looking forward to a cold coastal storm.
  10. 1.50” here now. Getting raked big time.
  11. Yeah it’s gotta be pretty brutal out there.
  12. LOL yeah guess I should have actually captured the moon in the shot. Was trying to show how bright it was.
  13. Flurries and 35 degrees. Nice to see.
  14. Some flakes mixed in here now. Yippee!
  15. Hoping to sneak in one more cold snowy day before the 11th. Maybe 3-5 inches. Doesn’t seem like a lot to ask for. I am tired of shoveling pattern, been doing that for many years.
  16. I go back to MD on the 11th until the 21st so that checks out. Epic 10 days for you guys.
  17. Thanks, I needed this weather pick-me-up. I will admit that low ceilings and 37/drizzle for days with more on the horizon is depressing. The darkness and dampness here really sucks. I don’t need a lot of snow. 28 degrees with occasional snow showers is just fine too.
