Just watched the news say the City of Tulsa officials commenting that they weren't prepared for the storm! They said they didn't even start sand and salting the roads till after 7:30pm!
Heard that... SMH

EMSA reporting responding to roughly 40 wrecks in the metro since 7.
think the rain fell... then froze slowly leading to a false sense of security.

Wow really? Do you have any link
or way to look into that pile up more?
It was 19 and just a Tweet. Guy is pretty good about sticking to facts though.

TPD and EMSA reporting wrecks everywhere.
IDL is bad, 71st St bridge is bad. Saw a Ch 8 chaser say he’s hearing of a 40 car pile up near the 51st exit on I44 in W Tulsa

Pretty solid little band of sleet just moved through NW Edmond
Interesting the HRRR latest doesn't show that.
Also looks like some freezing drizzle is forming NW of Tulsa on radar.

OUN pulled the trigger on the Warning

Tulsa keeps expanding the WWA ENE. Basically E of I44 now. Tulsa not included.

Very interesting...
Hopefully things will continue to evolve for the better...

Well 00z Euro actually bumped north from its 12z run, dumping a lot of snow in central OK. 6z GFS is now slightly north of 0z. Has the south trend stopped? Hard to say but man it is going to be close for the OKC metro.
OKC 12+, Tulsa 0 on the master.
Most members seem to want to give OKC some significant winter weather.
Crazy...

And the NAM has bailed.

Potential is certainly there. And, yea, everyone is being cautious after the last bust.

I’m not on here much but, I truly appreciate the discussion!
Merry Christmas all!

Hmmm....
Euro putting down 1-2 inches along and N of a line about 60 miles S of I44 in OK on the 29/30.

18z killled it.
Both GFS and V3 have been swinging back and forth on a good storm from the 24-29th.
Problem is, it’s their typical troll that far out.
