  1. Schools were closed in some of the towns around here because of trees in the road .
  2. It starts an hour earlier about 15 minutes after the Op starts, but will end an hour later. So 3 hours for a full 15 day cycle. Days 16-35 are only with the 0z run, but will not be created until 21 hours later. Finishing around 2z of the next day .
  3. I think he has his own action figures....lol
  4. I have been mowing once per week, for most of the summer. There was a period of time in May/June that I had a couple of weeks of twice per week. I have a well and have been watering it just enough to keep Stein at bay. My well goes down about 350 feet, so haven't been worried about it drying out. I am in somewhat of a low spot in my neighborhood, so all the water drains down towards me.
  5. 2.45”. We had a inch on the 29th and an inch this past Thursday. That was the first inch of rain since July 5th. Went a long stretch with not much but a tenth here a tenth there. Have a neighbor down the street who doesn’t have a irrigation system and doesn’t water and it looks similar to yours. Certainly not as bad. But I just tried to throw a little water at it a couple times a week just to try and keep it alive. There are some parts of my lawn that I didn’t water and they are fried .
  6. Yeah I have a well and a irrigation system. I am right in the middle of that severe drought, but my yard has been doing well. This was taken on Aug 24th. .
  7. Just had a cell blow up here. 0.40" and still pouring.
  8. Check out this wording, hope people heed it: Unsurvivable storm surge with large and destructive waves will cause catastrophic damage from Sea Rim State Park, Texas, to Intracoastal City, Louisiana, including Calcasieu and Sabine Lakes. This storm surge could penetrate up to 30 miles inland from the immediate coastline in southwestern Louisiana and far southeastern Texas.

  11. Question about weather station placement. Got a Davis system with an aspirated fan. Gonna put it on a wooden post 6 feet above the ground. But was going to mulch around the base of it. I don’t want to affect the dew point or temperature at all. (Certainly don’t want the mulch bed dew point talk [emoji23][emoji1787]). Will that be ok? Thoughts? .
  12. We are heading up there too, just for the day on Saturday.
  13. Different storm, but this is really intense:
  14. Agreed. That's the best part of it!
  15. We just had a 4 1/2 marathon meeting. As you said opinions all over the place. We were going full in school last week, by the end of the week they changed their stance to full remote. The superintendent was getting nasty emails, including harming him and the board members. Alot of pretty pissed off parents up here. Sounds like alot of the teachers were not comfortable with full time, so they didn't have enough teachers. Many of the subs backed down too. I can see both sides, but the rudeness of people over this, is just wrong. Its no one's fault. Its a terrible situation for everyone.
  16. Last Monday the school board held a meeting that said we would be most likely going full time. Friday afternoon the superintendent put a video out and they completely flipped their view and have decided to go full remote, starting sept 10th. With a check in late October to see the state of things. Many parents around here are absolutely flipping their kids. Want half their taxes back, teachers need to have their salaries slashed. It’s insane. Can’t satisfy everyone, but geez can we have some respect for one another without being absolute jerks about it. Terrible! .
  17. Back side of the showers that came through .
  18. Don't know. Such an awful situation. There is just no real good answer. My son is going into first grade now. Last spring was tough with him being home all the time and my wife and I were working from home. Luckily we are both able to do that, I know alot of other parents don't have that choice. I commend the teachers in our school, they did the best they could with the time they had.
  19. Its 2020, everything is on the table!!!
  20. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/08/01/us/schools-reopening-indiana-coronavirus.html One of the first school districts in the country to reopen its doors during the coronavirus pandemic did not even make it a day before being forced to grapple with the issue facing every system actively trying to get students into classrooms: What happens when someone comes to school infected? Just hours into the first day of classes on Thursday, a call from the county health department notified Greenfield Central Junior High School in Indiana that a student who had walked the halls and sat in various classrooms had tested positive for the coronavirus.
  21. Highest wind gust was about 25mph, 1/2" of rain.
  22. Just som light winds, maybe 20-25 tops. 20 mins of rain. Suns out now .
