I just looked at the historic NYC snowfall records and am shocked how bad 1970 through 2000 actually we're.
ONLY 3 above average snowfall winters in 30 years!
Makes this 2 year below average run look great.
Eh. In the 80s and early 90s we had horrific winters with good Marches. Some areas like here had more snow already this year than last. Last year March delivered big time. Would not be shocked if we get another light to moderate event in March. Feb. Looks bad.

You do realize that in the Renaissance the globe was so warm they were able to grow grapes in England without issue.
Our winters were probably full of perfect beach going days.

Wow did not realize NYC did so poorly in 2008 2009 (actually average). Not too far away here in SW CT we were over 40 and had snow coverage for months.
Of course NEMO was the difference in 2013.
