Was planning on hanging around Joshua Tree National Park a couple hours after sunset a couple nights ago, but had to get to Vegas by midnight to return the rental car. Did see the sunset from Keys View overlooking the Coachella Valley which was cool. Then stopped on the side of the road in the middle of the Mohave Desert so my son could pee. Stars were amazing and did see a bright meteor in those couple minutes.

Everything is developing west of Philly and going too far north for that area. I'm thinking my area right on 78 is too far southwest for the heaviest.

Think we make it until 6-7pm without rain today? I don't really care too much about fireworks, but our town is having a huge festival all day with food trucks, bands, and a watch party for the Brazil vs Norway game at 4pm. Would be nice to get the fireworks in too...

Even looking at the drought map, most of the area is barely in a drought. Yes, down south its a little worse in areas but not most of us. Even before the last couple "dry" years, go back a few more years and we were averaging 3-4" more than normal every year for a while. It all evens out.

My weather station always runs a little hot. It hit 100 a little while ago, but saw a few other stations within a few miles at 97-98 so its not off by much.

Was thinking the same thing. Did a bunch of yardwork today and backyard is all set up for summer minus the pool being open. I'll be cracking a Tree House in a little while. Cheers buddy!!

Any tornadoes reported in NJ? Everyone who has a tree down or part of a fence is claiming there was one. The FB groups are going wild.
