Just got into work after an 80 min drive (normally 35).  Pretty much puking snow the hole way from the house.

Observations from newport rd to etown rd to office in etown..

Litltz - was around 3-4" when I stopped for office fasnachts at weisers (best donuts in the world)

Manheim - at least 5-6" and was one big traffic jam

    etown - about 5" at 8:10 am

if we can hang onto a couple more hours, high ends likely in play.  If not, its still a fantastic pounding all the same.

I will also add that for those that stayed home....you were smart.  Been a long time since i've driven in such greasy conditions, and I LOVE driving in it.  Lets just say my arse was puckered tight a handful of times.

Enjoy everyone who got into it.

Same here! co-worker called at 430 and gave me a heads up on how bad roads were. roads were untouched when i came in. I can't recall driving on 11&15 or I-81 that was unplowed.

Haha I just assumed the Bubbler name was related to something else.  Yeah, he shouldn't be cutting that much weight.  It's unfortunate what some kids put themselves through to get into a lineup.  I will say, things are MUCH better than they used to be, with weight descent guidelines more strictly enforced and some of the more egregious weight-cutting tactics being ostracized.

Penn State and Iowa wrestle tonight on BTN for anyone interested in seeing the two premier college programs over the last coupe of decades.  Although, PSU may beat them in a bad way tonight.  Cael Sanderson just has a behemoth going there in State College.  Alright, sorry for clogging up the thread with talk of a niche sport haha.  Back to weather!

they have come a long way. Not perfect, but much, much better.

always a good match. i'd like to go on record stating i strongly dislike the Brands. That is all, carry on

I got banned for a month for trying to be funny, but this forum gets invaded by the troll army every five days and the useless Ohio janitor can't even come over to spray a can of Raid?

I'll just add on here that since February 1st, the town of Mammoth Lakes has received exactly 100" of snow as of 6:00AM Pacific time. It is snowing currently.

i was looking the other night for that guy who started a youtube channel last year to show their historic year. I can't find him

Not too foggy here but we have no snow cover at all so that might be why. 47 right before 1 pm.

everything in the back of my house (west facing) is gone. there were the piles i shoveled from sidewalks remaining out front when i left at 515am

Talk about big snowstorms happening much more frequently lately  - MU just posted this today. Glean at your discretion...

    Since 1926,

has only received 8 snowstorms of 18" or greater. Here they are!

    Jan. 7-8, 1996: 30.0"

    Jan. 22-23, 2016: 26.7"

    Feb. 16-18, 2003: 25.5"

    Feb. 11-12, 1983: 24.0"

    Feb. 5-6, 2010: 24.0"

    Feb. 15-16, 1958: 20.0"

    Feb. 9-10, 2010: 19.0"

    Mar. 13-14, 1993: 18.0"

i wish i had this 2 weeks ago. I heard a guy say "we sure don't get the big snowfalls like when i was a kid"!! I said yeah, they've been bigger since you were a kid.

my god, a bunch of debbie downers Its not even the end of january and you guys are calling for the end of winter.  Many of you thought the same thing at the end of Dec and now look at us- nearly a foot of snow in the past two weeks. Stop hugging the ensemble models for a biggie. It is not coming.  We will be in a relaxed pattern for the next two weeks, then the front door will be kicked in near of just after Valentines Day. Patience is virtue. The pattern we are in is very typical of a moderate El Nino year.  SECS usually occur near Presidents Day to St Patricks Day in this pattern. I have seen it over and over for 40 years.

I mean, you don't have to come in and read. and you certainly don't have to comment.

Phucking outsiders, i knew i should have stayed on vacation.

    Welcome back Jon.

I'm sorry for the public bickering I took part in with the trolls. I didn't mean to add fuel to the fire.

My break had nothing to do with the regulars. It was the outsiders coming in with their bullshit. they didn't come in peace. Seems like they're gone now.

we have a pretty good dynamic here. for the most part everyone has been here for years and understands each posting style. We are also accepting of others outside our area, occasionally some jackass comes along and tries to fudge things up, like this poster.
