But then the 6z GFS also shows a storm missing to the south a few days before Christmas…. Right where we want it at this range for now according to my handbook….

The Euro & GFS along with the NAM that you mentioned are all on board with a rain changing to snow scenario late Sunday night into early Monday.

The 0z NAM is on board for rain changing to a decent period of snow Sunday night into early Monday am.

I don’t recall a time when the Euro Weeklies were this consistent run after run. They have produced the same good looking pattern beginning around December 20th on the Weeklies runs since at least around Thanksgiving.

Here is the 30 day pattern from the latest Euro Weeklies beginning December 22nd through January 21st. We can’t ask for a better look!

The latest Euro Weeklies do indeed continue to be drool worthy. The can has not & is not being kicked on the Euro Weeklies. The good looking pattern begins Christmas week & continues through mid January.

It’s been a problem for years, especially in marginal events. You still have 5 hours to have them fix this terrible error! The final daily summary doesn’t come out until overnight.

We need to remember the T today when our seasonal total at MDT finishes up at 49.9 inches of snow…. We will wish that we had the official .2 today at MDT that could have pushed us over the magical 50 inch mark!

Year after year….what else should we expect? Multiple reports all around MDT this morning of a couple of tenths of snow on the ground… Maybe their overnight final numbers will revise it, but I’m not holding my breath.

I like that I’ve seen snow 3 times at my house since last Wednesday. Hopefully it is a positive signal for the upcoming Winter. It of course has not added up to much, but at the very least, it has made it feel festive.

Still some light snow ongoing, but I just took a measurement & we have .3 on the ground in Marysville with all surfaces lightly covered.
