  1. Forecast high is 67 here, and that’s exactly where we are currently. A couple more degrees is possible too before we end the climb today.
  2. It was bound to happen, we had so much rain last year, at some point it was gonna dry out, and here we are.
  3. That’s kind of how it goes most of the time.
  4. Of course, we are getting past peak now, leaves are dropping fast, and the oaks with the brown are starting to take center stage now. But Late last week, and especially over the weekend and into Monday, it was spectacular.
  5. Except for that monster in your front, Chop those things down. WTF?
  6. I mean it can’t be like San Diego forever here in SNE…something is gonna give at some point.
  7. I’m thrilled. Who doesn’t like this? 74 here. About 8 degrees cooler than yesterday. Feels great. However, The hype is sickening, and so is the selling of a winter season that won’t start for 8 weeks yet. Just remember one thing…the Tropical season was supposed/forecast to be off the charts active. All the ingredients were there for it to be an incredibly active year. And How did that work out? Don’t count your chickens before they hatch.
  8. Thanks. It was very good here too..starting to pass peak now some…but the end of last week, and over the weekend was spectacular.
  9. That’s funny because sometimes when we’ve been toasty in the winter(much above) some parts of the world have record cold(Yakutsk).
  10. That’s always a possibility. But that was an extreme case. Hoping that doesn’t happen this go around. We also had a foot of concrete fall here that destroyed everything that October 2011 too…so that ain’t happening this go around either. Different year and set up.
  11. Yes, the fog here was very dense(100 yards if that). Starting to lift some now and temp starting to rise-57 degrees.
  12. That’s my thought too. Keep this going another 6 weeks, then let’s flip it.
  13. For sure. We don’t need any semblance of winter now. Let Alaska/northern and NW Canada have it, and build up the snowcover there for now. We’ll get our turn.
  14. Agreed. Let the vortex go over Alaska in October and November, and keep it mild here. I’d rather that than in mid/late December, or January.
  15. Visibility down to about 100 yards.
  16. Boston is a little far..Worcester is much better for us CT guys. Kind of a middle ground for a lot of us. But that’s just my take.
  17. I have to agree with your explanations..it’s poor where he is. But as you said in other areas it’s excellent.
  18. Anyhow, On a different note, Any get together planned this year?
  19. We are starting to get a slight tad past peak, but overall That’s total BS for here in my area. Been a very good year for foliage here. I’ll go at it with you on that until the end. Some areas may not be good, but that doesn’t apply for plainville/southington/Cheshire at all. End of story.
  20. Yes, and that’s fine…I have no issues with saying that. I’m going below 80 for Halloween. That’s my call. If it hits 80 here next Thursday, I’ll gladly say I was incorrect.
  21. Perhaps? But it’s been a great fall. We’ve had it all so far….beautiful crisp days, frosty and frozen nights, sun for days on end, gorgeous foliage, and now big beautiful warmth. And Who doesn’t want it all? Stellar autumn.
  22. We’ll see? Maybe? Euro ain’t to great anymore so…but low 70’s is beautiful.
