WTF are you talking about? We’ve had a bunch of very good seasons since 2011. I give up. Go on another rant and sound like a complete lunatic.

C’mon…that’s a little bit of stretch now. The 11th or so time frame has been showing up for a while. As Scott said earlier today, every chance isn’t gonna workout. They never do, nor should we expect them to.

Nah…just why be a negative Nellie all the time? It changes nothing. And doesn’t factor in to making a storm that’s a week out any more or less probable. Believe it or not, I was you(and others) after we got shut out in 2010. The next year I was so dam jaded, I just knew everything was gonna whiff, miss or basically fall apart. I was told by the mods on Accuweather forums that I needed to provide solid scientific evidence as to why the storms were going to miss….or they would delete my posts. And that was leading into January 2011. Well we know how that ended up. So all my concern and jaded ideas from the previous disaster that was 2010(and growing up in the 1980’s), didn’t mean crap. So after that, I changed the way I looked at things.

Nobody is asking you to believe…just sit back and watch what happens.

Agreed, and To your point of things not being seen yet, Or disappearing as we go along, if we go back just two days ago, on Saturday afternoon, we had posters worried about having no shortwaves in the flow(and it being just cold and dry with nothing happening), and now we have a shit load of SW’s. My how that has changed in just two days time.

Yup…still 7-8 days out, so Op runs gonna Op run at this lead time. Can’t take anything seriously at a week or more out.

That’s the real truth. Nobody expected Feb 15 to happen before it started. Same thing with Jan 11 too. But I think the bigger point is, nobody should ever expect those results from a good looking pattern/set up either. So we don’t expect that now…at least that’s my take on that idea.

Actually I certainly have. You’ve been needling though…and Theres a difference between fun, and needling. But we’ll let it go at that. Hoping for what you and everybody is hoping for..a decent run here.

Everybody is fine….we’re all hoping for the same thing. So Let’s see how it all unfolds.

Absolutely…im not expecting every opportunity to materialize either. I Have never thought that. I do however expect that we can grab a few. That’s my hope.

If any of us have bare ground by 1/15…it’s not gonna be very positive for any us. If his ground is bare, yours and mine are too. Hopefully that’s not the case.

Most all folks outside of these forums are oblivious and know absolutely nothing weather related, except what they see on TV, so not surprising.

I hear ya Paul. Lots of potential, so just enjoy the modeling as we are still a week out at least.

Yes and no..I feel that way a lot too. But for some reason this go around, I’m enjoying the myriad of different ideas and looks that have popped up. Im obviously Not expecting to cash in on all the potential, but I don’t know why, but I’m feeling some how we come out of this period decently.

And we’re only a week or 10 days away from another start to Jan ‘11. So that’s the other side of the coin.

Ya, we had the 3/7 one that hit here pretty good(double digits), but that was it for March up this way, the other two were piddling. Out east killed it with the next two though.
