Ryan's forecast is a +8 over his 10 day period. Maybe it gets tempered a bit, but still, that's a pretty solid furnace for this part of the country.

    Tempered like this week??

That's some hyperbole too.  It is out of the ordinary if it gets to 80F there next week.

You can argue semantics but it won't be ordinary October fare if that happens.  Not record highs but I wouldn't try too hard to make it seem normal.

Try to Remember what the calls were for.

Nobody said normal...but it surely isn’t a furnace.  Lately(last 10-15 years) it isn’t out of the ordinary...78-80 is warm for sure, but you can think what you want, but that’s nothing extraordinary for SNE in early October imo.

  3. Just saw Ryan’s Forecast for next week...it’s cooler again from the inferno calls of Yore next week.  Basically Sunday is 75-80, and Wednesday upper Seventies to near 80; then it cools off nicely.

Mild/warm temps sure...but nothing extreme or out of the ordinary, and everybody who uninstalled will be just fine.

Many places could be at +10 to +12 by mid-month. That's as off the charts as you could get.

I’ll believe it when I see it...just like this week was supposed to be mid 80’s...Fail on that one. And as Metherb said...due to overnights being milder..not daytime highs.  I’ll take the under on those +10 and +12 departures by the end of next week!

That was for next week mainly . We’ll see how it plays out.

Not trying to be a stalker here....and I’m not trying to bust your chops, but this post is not true, and a twist of the facts.

Last week at this time...you posted about how low to mid 80’s and beastly dews/heat for these days we are in now, was coming.  That has not verified.  And when Some of us said we didn’t believe it would get near the levels you were touting, you got a lil put out, and posted tweets of METS saying it would be so, and talked about endless summer.

The only point here is...just admit that your call for this week was not correct...and the models from last week that you were going by, were overblown...that’s all.

And i agree...we’ll see how next week plays out, but this week flopped for beastly heat.  And it wouldn’t surprise me if next week isn’t as impressive as it once looked...but we’ll see???

  6. Accurate in the sense....not hyped or exaggerated, or inflated beyond what it is.  I realize we all have micro-climates in our own areas, and not everything is exactly the same across all the areas of SNE/NNE.  That's not what was meant by my comment earlier.

Since Thursday, Sept 6th when it was blazing hot and Humid(yes record breaking heat in a lot of areas for the date), and the day before that too(wednesday), and Tuesday too, it was/felt like an endless summer since it got warm/hot in mid June.

Since then (the 6th of Sept)...the endless heat and humidity has been broken.  We've had some humid days, and some warmth too...but nothing hot at all.  It's felt like Autumn much of the time since the last major heat and humidity on the 6th. And quite a few days have been quite cool and damp.  So the endless summer comments are not accurate at all in that regard.

Yeah I don't know much about the Northern Maine climate but it makes sense they'd be much further ahead this time of year when things seem much more latitude driven.  I mean folks think I'm far north and I may be one county south of Canada... but the difference between northern Maine and here is the same difference between say me and CON or even south of there.  Northern Maine is just so far up there, haha.

Yes it is pretty far, Its above 45N.........lol

Yes for sure...it's a whole other climate from even Northern New England.  It's a real cool place though(no pun intended lol)

He sure knows how to get to you, that's for sure.

Freak he doesn't get me at all....it's just such nonsense BS that he throws out there...it has to be called out and commented on.  People come here to get accurate info...and when you see posts that just aren't true; or calls of weather a week out that you know won't verify, a comment from others who aren't pushing BS is warranted.  That's it.

Plenty today have commented on the Hype...I just elaborated on their thoughts.

Well, We have had two frost and close to few others but managed to stay in the heavy dew category staying either side of 40F, It was a warm summer, Which i'm glad to see has gone, And getting some warm days in fall, Indian summer like is very common, So i think some have been sampling their harvest on here when they talk like its endless.

Good Post.  I agree completely...love the indian summer type thing.

Same old BS from the same person/peeps....what's laughable is how they call people out (ACATT), who disagree with the Hype they push....if that aint the Pot calling the kettle Black lol.   We've no doubt turned the corner on the hot season...there will be some more warmth, but nothing like we had, and it sure hasn't been endless like you pointed out the last 3 plus weeks.

Last week He/they were calling for the "Beastly Heat and dews"(His words) this week....well that did not verify lol, so it's on to next week now.

It's fine to talk about the warmth, but to hype it like it's some crazy thing that's never happened before, or tweets from METS around the web about upcoming warmth being the hottest in a generation is just BS/Hype.

Is next week still looking torched? If it verifies, probably sets us up for warmest Oct on record, which is disturbing considering all the other warmest months we've had this year. Really really disturbing. It's so easy to break warmth records.

I don't find it disturbing at all....enjoy the warm weather and don't Fret so much.

Thoughts on the abnormally warm October to come, I've heard that it looks more like a La Nina pattern than a Nino.

Is this due to the relatively weak state of the Nino?

How do we even know if it’s going to turn out Abnormally warm....it hasn’t even started yet lol.   Why, Cuz modeling last week showed AN to start???  We know how that can change.  This upcoming first week already not looking quite as warm as it did back on Wednesday and Thursday.

Let’s see how the month shakes out at the end...and even if it is abnormally warm, I’m in Jerry’s boat on the hang over from summer, and would not let that worry me on what the upcoming winter may turn out like.

Your life is as abnormal as it gets friend

Kev, You’re call you made from Thursday and Friday, for Low to Mid 80’s later this week, looks to be going down in flames pal.

    ASOUT!

Lob 10 degrees off of your call, and it’ll be in the ballpark....not so torchy after all.

    94-95 coming.

Lol way to throw the stick in the spokes of powder boys Epic winter call.  That winter had one good storm/Nor’Easter...other than that it sucked Azz...but it was ironically sandwiched in between two Fabulous record breaking winter seasons of 93-94 and 95-96.
