  1. Ya it’s been a soaker, and more inbound.
  2. Bahahaha …his hockey mask is ready.
  3. Stein is completely dead here and has been for quite sometime….and these(this rain) are huge nails in that coffin.
  4. Nahhh…overcast and dreary, perfect day for a fire. Looking good with that nice mug of suds in the foreground too.
  5. When you empty them, are they still alive? Lol.
  6. 34 this morning, but Truck now reading 71…dry, sunny and gorgeous! Can’t be beat. Need the air on in the vehicle if you don’t want the windows down. Autumn at its best.
  7. Ahhh thanks. Two weeks away….I wouldn’t be too worried even if I lived in PR.
  8. Ya..I didn’t get any of it…no co-morbidity’s and in good health, I was like no way I’m taking any vax. Got Covid back in January…felt like a very mild flu back then for a few days. Lost my sense of smell right at the end of it…and didn’t get it back until late June(was a long hauler with that). But that’s just me. If you’re elderly and/or have compromised health, I can certainly understand the concern..it should be a personal choice and entirely up to the person. Nobody should ever be mandated to get anything like that. I tested every week last fall for 5 months…due to my fefusal to get the vax, so my municipality said I needed to be tested weekly, and it was at no charge to me, I just had to go to a state testing location and test each week.
  9. Scott singing soprano for a ‘15 repeat…Watch out Barry Gibb.
  10. There’s been plenty of winters that were very good and got going after December…but I agree that late November and December snow is great…and can get you off to a good start/ahead for the seasonal totals. I like December snow a lot. Let’s hope we get some.
  11. As I’ve been saying …what a gorgeous autumn. Days of cold refreshing mornings, and cool to mild afternoons. It doesn’t get any better. Today was the coldest morning going to work in the truck so far…truck thermometer was reading 32 at 8:15, with a nice frost.
  12. Rocky was back to basics..back to the beginning, back to Raw!
  13. Glad we’re back to weather, vs swamp asses and shorts. Ya let’s get that even a month from now. Whats Sunday and Monday looking like this week? That system/or whatever it is gonna come up the coast?
  14. I hear ya, but Sometimes it only takes one epic storm to make a winter memorable…that winter had two, and other smaller events thrown in. That winter also set a record for snowfall at BDL, which stood til ‘94, and then just two years later ‘96 beat ‘94. 77-78 was a great winter for us here in CT/SNE.
  15. What’s Ironic too is…we all know how the winter of 77-78 turned out..it was glorious.
  16. I said this few posts back…I remember it because I was in elementary school. It was abandoned after one year/winter. See below.
  17. Ya that 4” per hr was quite the show…awesome. And if one can imagine, Feb 13 was even better than that here though…6” per hour set in about 9-10 pm…per Ryan H. coming on in a special weather update that night. Hope Kevin was up for that one?
  18. This. I don’t see it passing. Elementary kids will be going to school and waiting for buses, and walking in the dark during the late autumn and winter months. And high school and middle school will be doing night school in the morning lol. I don’t think that’s gonna fly when it comes right down to it. When I was in elementary school I remember them trying it one year…it was abandoned after one year.
  19. ‘84 had a very good March. I was turning 16 mid March, and my neighbor had an old snowmobile that he told me I could use in late February if and when it snowed again (a ‘72 Ski Doo Olympic), man did I hit that timing right…rode that old thing all over the neighborhood that month of March with my buddies. I was already thinking I wanted to try and get myself a used older sled, but I was really hooked after that, and bought my own a month later with some money I had saved up. That was such a memorable March with the snow and the sledding experience.
  20. In the end it can’t be both ways(more extreme and more benign), that’s how you know some are agenda driven lol. And 40-50 yrs from now when everything starts to cool…then what??? Lmao. There have been so many incorrect ideas about this the last 30-40’yrs…its downright laughable. Hard to take anything seriously at all. I really don’t care what folks believe or think(to each their own). All I know is, it’s gonna continue to snow here and get cold here for the next 100 plus years, and that’s all that really matters to me. If we get more extreme events(snow or others that’s cool too) After that it’s anybodys guess. We’ll all be dead and gone…and it won’t matter for us any longer.
