I get the whole fold it up and be done with it idea, but it’s kind of hard/silly to do on 1/14. I mean it may never get any better, and ends up a true rat. I’m 4.3” on the season…be real hard not to get anymore snow for the next 9 weeks. Even 11-12 being the true rat it was, had a 7” event in there in January, after the octobomb, which brought the total that year to about 18”. That’s more than 4 times what I have now.

Northern Aroostook got 18-22” yesterday….grooming like mad and it’s game on there now. More snow for them Monday.

Nice looking rig…I like it, hopefully you get to use it soon. If not, it’ll come in handy at some point for sure.

Where’s the TPV though? Is it over Hudson Bay or just to the east? If so that can work for SNE.

Some just roll with each run of the modeling…every few hrs they’re up or down. Ya hate to see it.

Ahh ok. So the timing of the confluence is not what it was. Makes sense. Something would have to go right…and we know that can’t happen this season.

If I’m remembering correctly, I believe the PNA was negative during the February ’13 blizzard. But obviously things worked out like you explained. I remember folks were worried about the storm not working out, due to that. Also in that GEFS depiction above, the TPV is centered just to the east of Hudson Bay, that’s a good spot for it I’d imagine for us. Hopefully that can hold.

Just goes to show, all the analogues don’t mean jack sometimes…chaos theory at its best/or worst. So maybe we all throw the towel in on 1/13….and call it a monster Rat. Worst ever perhaps?

Can you trust the NAM? These models are all over the place. One run it’s a crush job, the next one it’s a snow shower. Sucks cuz we’re out of anything back this way, just saying for you guys out east.
