Last night was truly incredible around these parts. As always we really require some intense daytime rates to get meaningful accumulation around here during the day. Pretty standard stuff for DC proper at least. This storm definitely exceeded my expectations though.

Rates have definitely picked up and flake size is better in the last 15 minutes or so.

Lull has always been a possibility. Will fill back in once the coastal gets going.

Just took a little jebwalk up here. Absolutely puking fluffy dendrites. Gotta be close to 2" new, piling up very very quickly. Every road, even recently treated ones, are covered.

Snow has begun in earnest in DC. I wanted to be under that warning :(. Maybe later in the day.
