  1. Congrats you're one of the few posters in CT in here that is experiencing a snowstorm with a net gain. Bout time Litchfield county doesn't get porked in a storm.
  2. Yeah, i actually think thats one of the hardest area to forecast for this storm. What is your elevation? If you're around 1K in new hartford, i think youll end up +/- 6"
  3. What a gorgeous looking radar, what a waste. Hopefully i can squeeze out 2-3 before it pours.
  4. Haven't been posting much this storm, been super busy but just wanted to share this. This was our first call 36 hours ago. Below is the final call issued tonight. Based on surface obs/radar we decided to side with colder guidance and bump up.
  5. No help from the GEPS, looks more or less the same from 12Z with a mean track from NNJ to SNH. The Gefs very intriguing though, especially based on the above.
  6. Crazy temperature variance across southern CT. 7 in North Haven and 27 in New Haven 10 miles south.
  7. Can someone point me to a good site to go back and look at sfc and upper air charts for past storms?
  8. damn i wish you had an official report, it seemed like it would have backed my 11.1. I'm on the Hamden boarder, within less 0.5miles. I haven't seen any reports around North Haven that are +/- 11". A hair under 11" seems spot on for what i got.
  9. what was your total, you got a final measurement?
  10. you have a lot of time on your hands.. ...I've shortened it for you, the abridged version
  11. Excellent breakdown, very impressed, and i agree.
  12. try this Text Products for PNS Issued by ALY (weather.gov)
  13. i don't know what you're talking about P.S. we are holding an emergency press conference to discuss fake snowfall reports in front of the 4 Seasons at noon, all are welcome.
  14. dont worry NWS didnt like my report either even though ive been chatting with them privately all morning and they reporting everything up to 10.6 then stopped. I guess they didn't include @Sey-Mour Snowreport either for some reason? But they included the 12" report in wtby which is BS.
  15. Snowfall totals coming out from the NWS. Gonna be interesting to make a map for this, should be close to what my nowcast updated map was earlier. Today is also the 5 year anniversary of the Jan 7th 2017 Nor'easter that brough high winds, heavy snowfall and blizzard conditions to southern new england. I posted some quick maps in the new england snow storm memories.
  16. 5 Year anniversary of the Jan 7th 2017 nor'easter. This is one of my favorite storms of the past 10 years. We had white out conditions and heavy snowfall that occured during all daylight hours.
  17. The PNS reports are always high to low, which text bulletins are you referencing? I'm looking back at 2/7/21 almost the same report, you were on the outside fringe. 3.1" that storm for you.
  18. just saw a report from Blue Hills of 15.2, thats gotta be the max so far?
  19. Reports coming in so far from CoCoRahs represent a pretty uniform 18-20:1 in that band over CT. Would like to see all the climo sites and take a look back to see what models did well in that regard, a quick look at the GFS and it seems pretty reasonable from the 00Z run last night over CT. The past 6 runs i would say are consistent after 18Z Jan 5th run
