Worst storm ever. One of several awful busts that month. No way I got close to 5". More like 2.5 or 3 that washed away while Ray was doing naked cartwheels in 30" of pow. May it live in infamy with Boxing Day.
Def not the worst. 7 days later came an even worse bust. lets all remember.

I believe that was the storm where I first became aware of Eastern and of weather discussion boards in general. It was a glorious discovery to find that others shared my enthusiasm. The storm itself was fun, although I recall agonizing a bit as that epic deform band stalled just east of my location and pummeled southeast CT.
i felt exactly the same. it was early morning around 5-7am

I remember this storm Ryan kept hammering a heavy snow zone down central connecticut, i saw it too, we all saw it. Ended up being Central CT smoked exhaust and got totally screwed.

Yeah, I just looked it up and it’s $1100 for a winter visit and overnight stay. I wouldn’t make a habit of winter visits but I’d drop that cash with zero reservations for that kind of experience.
And the day you book just happens to be an inversion with mid 30s, no winds and fog

Trained Spotter says otherwise, i know you there at the time so i believe you but based on the surrounding SE and NE reports it doesnt look far fetched

Haha, good point, you asked. Is it followed by a number? If so then it's snow beginning and the minute of the hour it did. Like SNB38 should be snow beginning at 38 minutes after the hour.
yes it does what does the "E" and the number after that mean though? Estimated seconds?
