How much snow did you get? Here is January, hi to low. (Might need to take this with a grain of salt.)
ETA : Might be 6th snowiest Jan, based on NorthArlington101's 15" number,
4th snowiest if using my numbers!
EDIT: 18.7" total for Jan

I came in at 18.7" just south of town, about 9 miles SSW of CHO. The 1/16 storm is the one that really set our area apart from everyone further North and East. We had a really strong front end thump and then never lost the surface while places like DC/Baltimore torched to 45. That ended up being our most potent snowpack of the month. There's still piles of snow >5ft high in the parking lots around here.
1/3 - 8.5"
1/7 - 2.2"
1/16 - 6"
1/29 - 2"

Could someone point me to a place where I can find daily/monthly records for major airports? And not the long-term averages, I need annual records.
I'm trying to rank what Cville saw from Jan 3rd - 31st. We averaged about 3 degrees below normal over the period and had like 250% of our normal snowfall

Finished with 2.0" just south of Charlottesville
that brings me to 18.7" for the season, all in the past 4 weeks!

No radar returns over CHO for a while now but it's still snowing

Maybe about 1” in CHO? Still snowing, side roads definitely covered.
I'd say 1.5" at least where I am on the south side of town

I’m fearful we’re going to pitch a near shutout. The only time things started this slowly and recovered in a big way was Feb. 11-12, 2006. One inch of snow in daytime followed by long lull, thunder snow breaking out midnight, wake up to find a foot of snow on ground and tree down on driveway.
Good thing this storm is almost nothing like that one for your area!

Temps and DP are running low compared to the HRRR down here in Charlottesville. currently 37/20, 16z HRRR has us at 42/22 right now. Hoping we don't waste much on cooling.
Returns starting to pop overhead but no precip yet.

I'll be happy with whatever falls here in Cville. This will be snow-on-snow-on-snow-on-snow (x4) for us. Would've been hard to believe a month ago

I’m not seeing much change vs 6z. Seems like it just reduced the spread somewhat but kept the general mean the same. Maybe a subtle shift west but not much IMO.
Look at the isobars over the Carolinas, there's your West shift

Just flipped to sleet in Charlottesville. Very sudden, rates did let up a bit so maybe we see some back and forth for a little while
