not sure how other folks in the DMV are doing, but DC so far seems to have done a pretty good job with its "snow team". Every street in our neighborhood has seen a plow at least once.
as someone who remembers the several inches of sleet we got in PD2 in C'ville - this shit is not gonna melt for a long time. So that is the one plus side of sleet. The water content is much higher than snow lol.

wild to think we'd have a layer of 40+F air when it's around 20F at the surface. That would seem to produce a catastrophic ice storm if it occurs though.
yeah if I recall during the epic run that Boston had in 2015, they were putting snow in Fenway. Was actually an issue as baseball season was getting started, because there was snow still there.
