It was a long time coming. I've done some research and it just sounds like even with the best designed window units they just can't seal 100%. Just so happens that I get wasps on the front of the house that love to find ways in. Main A/C cools the lower floors fine, but has a ton of trouble getting to the upper floors. (banter, I Know). ZERO wasps or even ants so far this year...

Fans, fans and more fans have been working OK so far. But the past few days have ben brutal getting to sleep.

Based on radar I'm cautiously optimistic. @high risk - over in the severe thread says they'll likely lose their punch as they come east. A quick shower or storm would do wonders.

Oh dang man I’d rather sleep with bees than sweaty balls

Interesting that you mention that 4" height -- I read today that, to help combat the prevalence of clover in a lawn, that it's recommended to set the mower deck slightly higher to keep a lawn level of 3" or greater. Apparently clover won't thrive in grass left to grow slightly higher, as it's a more shallow weed. #LearnSomethingNewEachDay  :)

That white clover seemed much more visible this year.My lawn went from spring beautiful to clover infested but now feels little less clover after the nitrogen. Hopefully I can avoid these dingleberries

  3. Found a quick window to cut grass earlier (while still little wet) and finished just in time before all hell broke loose. I had to cut it before heading to beach or would came back to a jungle. Perfect timing!

thanks.  Hit 171 at four hours - per the youtube videos have wrapped and am finishing still on the smoker.

Yeh I never even had to wrap mine back in day but def helps speed it along if running low on fuel. Shared recipe site above if you want any ideas on sauces.

I am (just a hair older than the youthful @H2O  ) - and despite a lifetime of grilling, have never tried to smoke a pork shoulder for homemade pulled. So, today is the day. About four hours in, using the off-set smoker for the first time, fingers crossed. Worst case scenario, I **** it up, and swing up to MissionBBQ and get it that way. But I think I have a shot at this.

Don’t panic at the temp stall. The temp will eventually rise or worse case you wrap in foil and finish in oven. Good luck man don’t over think it

Edit: below is site I used when was into smoking few years ago. Great tips and rub/sauce recipes. Check out the Lexington dip sauce if you are a east nc vinegar guy. Also got ketchup based and others if vinegar not your style
