In Pawleys Island SC there are a lot of crossed fingers that this storm does not strengthen much if or when it emerges over water. Two years ago after crossing Florida Ian landed here and did serious damage to the island part of Pawleys although there was minimal damage on the mainland. I’m heading back to Connecticut before this thing arrives.
Severe weather is not very common on the beach in Murrells Inlet SC aside from hurricanes however this one was impressive, four years ago this struck at about 2 o’clock in the afternoon and lasted for almost 2 hours, spun off a week tornado right on the beach, it was the most intense lightning I have ever seen
Interesting afternoon, Steady light snow for several hours now with an occasional burst of heavier snow, A little over a quarter inch, drifting snow with the wind, lol, 12°
sleet and light snow in Southwick, Massachusetts 28°
Moderate snow on top of the hill in Barkhamstead and 22° with 2 1/2 inches of snow as of half an hour ago
29° and occasional flurries, picked up about another inch after clearing everything off, I think the biggest surprise was the wind that picked up very quickly around 8:30 Last night and kept up until 4 o’clock this morning, Storm total just about a foot
28° and light wind driven snow, ground is covered appears to be about 0.5” difficult to tell as wind has really increased in the last hour ENE 28mph, Higher gusts
