  5. I drove up from South Carolina and arrived at about 3 o’clock in the morning on the 10th and there was no snow on the ground then. We had a total of almost four inches of snow, sleet and freezing rain from the December 10 storm, it has been exceptionally cold ever since I got here and very little of that glacier from the 10th has melted.
  6. It sounds like the same spot I’m in at the top of Mountain Road. He could be one of my neighbors. Yes there was about 3 inches of snow on the ground from the December 10 event yesterday and now we have about half an inch on top of that.
  7. 32° and light snow in Hartland, roads are slush covered, looks like maybe an 8th to a quarter of an inch of snow so far.
  8. perfect winter night, 11° moon rising with Jupiter off to the upper right, saw these guys on the local pond today, I like the boat in the back of his truck, I guess he’s ready for anything!
  9. It has been snowing for the last 40 minutes although nothing is showing up on radar, a very fine dust like snow, 21°.
  10. Nice winter day! 22° after a low of 1° and about 3 inches of glacier, mostly snow with a little sleet and a crust of ice. Caught the Sundog in Granville MA.
  11. Nice looking snow squalls over the Berkshires, crossing my fingers that they make it here.
  12. Precip switched to heavy sleet and snow and now it’s back to all snow and coming down heavily 29.8°
  13. 27.8° and mostly sleet and freezing rain, E/NE wind
  14. 27.5° NE wind starting to blow the snow around a bit 3.8 inches so far, no mixing yet
  15. 26.7° and moderate to almost heavy snow, no mixing yet, wind starting to pick up a little from the NE. Mountain Road at the East Hartland Granby line is closed, 3 inches total snow so far
  16. no one on the roads except for me of course
  17. 29° and moderate snow in New Hartford, went from basically flurries to accumulating snow in minutes, roads are already partially covered and so far it’s a dry snow and blowing around
  18. 29° and very light snow has started in Torrington
  19. It could be worse. I left South Carolina yesterday morning hoping to see 5 to 6 inches in East Hartland today. By the time I got here at 2:30 this morning it looks like maybe about an inch and a half slush, but hey, at least I got to see some frozen slush mounds at the rest area in Pennsylvania!
