didn’t have much wind here, a couple gusts around 35mph surprising since this is usually a pretty windy spot, high was 52° at noon 36° now and no precip.
I drove up from South Carolina and arrived at about 3 o’clock in the morning on the 10th and there was no snow on the ground then. We had a total of almost four inches of snow, sleet and freezing rain from the December 10 storm, it has been exceptionally cold ever since I got here and very little of that glacier from the 10th has melted.
It sounds like the same spot I’m in at the top of Mountain Road. He could be one of my neighbors. Yes there was about 3 inches of snow on the ground from the December 10 event yesterday and now we have about half an inch on top of that.
perfect winter night, 11° moon rising with Jupiter off to the upper right, saw these guys on the local pond today, I like the boat in the back of his truck, I guess he’s ready for anything!
Nice winter day! 22° after a low of 1° and about 3 inches of glacier, mostly snow with a little sleet and a crust of ice. Caught the Sundog in Granville MA.
26.7° and moderate to almost heavy snow, no mixing yet, wind starting to pick up a little from the NE. Mountain Road at the East Hartland Granby line is closed, 3 inches total snow so far
29° and moderate snow in New Hartford, went from basically flurries to accumulating snow in minutes, roads are already partially covered and so far it’s a dry snow and blowing around
It could be worse. I left South Carolina yesterday morning hoping to see 5 to 6 inches in East Hartland today. By the time I got here at 2:30 this morning it looks like maybe about an inch and a half slush, but hey, at least I got to see some frozen slush mounds at the rest area in Pennsylvania!
