    Temp-wise you can argue but a storm can easily disappear or appear and in winter that can bring down cold air (or create its own). You can be very discouraged without punting, if that makes sense, which I get from Horst.

    If you guys didn't know, @Voyager has a YouTube channel for his bus trips (well when he gets them, hopefully the pick up) that I find very enjoyable. Last week he even did a video about new living room furniture!

    Aside from the 30" snow, my fav part was Eskimo Joe cancelling the storm the day before. The NAM, somehow, nailed that storm in every possible aspect.

    Great, great stuff the past two on climo. Thanks for sharing, @Jns2183! Someone should start a MDT wiki page with seasonal totals and all - it'd be so much easier to track than the nonsensical way the NWS has to store data.

    The models really have been poor with this upcoming system. Regardless of what the result is.

    I have to drive to DC next Friday morning, then return back here Saturday night. I guarantee a snowstorm.

    It's not even a lack of cold when useful - it's a lack of cold entirely. This week is by far the coldest week we've had and it's still about on average.

    Telling the truth isn't being a Debbie downer, no way. We can't change the weather (well China is trying) so we have to be honest with what we're seeing. Good and bad.

    If this isn't going to get the northern and western parts of this region snow I hope it ends up in Quebec. I don't want a rainy Saturday.

    Damn, MDT had a wind gust to 58. My junky Chinese anemometer stopped working - it probably wasn’t reliable anyway.

    Back to reality, had a nice snow squall blow through. Wind is so strong is immediately blew away but that was pretty cool (and unexpected!).
