  2. Everything exploded just across the border to the SE. Atmosphere changed and they got the goods that were supposed to be here.
  3. Yes, SPC missed today up here. I can’t read ,all well enough to see what prevented instability - cape numbers were great, wave was timed well, etc
  4. Looks like some moist air shot up and killed instability - 95 and DC might get hammered now instead of the LSV.
  5. Conditions are setting up very favorable to some discrete cells all throughout the LSV with that line that's out toward Pittsburgh. It's moving into better conditions and already pretty potent.
  6. The rest of the state (well Scranton south) is now in a t-storm watch until 9 p.m.
  7. Western part of this region has another bluebox. And a t-storm watch covers a ton of the western part of the state (basically the other side of Dauphin County to Ohio).
  8. I didn’t look at radar at 2 am but all the action was to the west sky so this makes sense.
  9. It was loud and bright! Not much rain at all - less than .05". MDT didn't get a drop.
  10. So we may get a shower but the LSV appears to be completely left out to dry today. The system didn’t materialize so the warm/cool aloft aren’t going to bring downpours as predicted.
  11. There are currently 21 different severe tstorm warnings from Texas to PA.
  12. CTP has hinted at that since early this am.
  13. The majority of this region was just blue-boxed.
  14. Yea, same here. It got brighter but darker. CTP seems to indicate it won’t make a difference however and severe is expected. From the 1:30 pm disco: Meanwhile, the cumulus field over much of central PA has grown more bubbly with daytime heating/destabilization. As more short-wave energy approaches later this afternoon/early evening, along with a surface trough axis, convection should fire most areas. Given steepening LRs over a deep layer, dry air aloft, and effective shear near 30 knots, localized severe wind gusts and hail remain a concern.
  15. This should clear up by 1ish for some instability to bound up before late afternoon. I think there will be severe in the NW and SE portions of this forum.
  16. Storm out near Johnston looks strong already.
  17. I remember the football field gauge hitting 113 in Texas, but dewpoint there is around 80 usually in august and September. Unsure how I’m not dead.
  18. Probably going to be some severe-warned storms tomorrow afternoon. If I had to guess, I’d say those that got all the rain the past 2-3 days get them more than those north of the turnpike but who knows.
  19. Yes we were over near you around 5 and you guys were getting a nice shower we weren't. If I knew your address I would’ve been yelling at your front door!
  20. Best rein of thr last few days now. Might break .2” today which would be fantastic.
