    I’m honestly surprised we’ve not heard of more alligator attacks. I’ve been chased by one before on Caddo Lake after heck rain, it’s terrifying.

    We should do a rainfall contest. Include the following cities: Harrisburg Lancaster York Tamaqua Williamsport State College Chambersburg Clearfield I thiiiink that covers the whole group basically without getting too lengthy.

    Wednesday night will be damn breezy. Probably going to have some power issues up on the hills with trees falling and elsewhere where they’ve had so much rain. HBG proper has been pretty dry the past 2 weeks as we’ve missed most every cell thankfully.

    Entire towns are uninhabitable, two probably are now part of the gulf itself and others have severe destruction, but sure all went well.

    The city looks like it’ll not have any levee issues (thankfully). S/SE outside the hurricane protection zone … diff story.

    Levees are starting to fail (not around NOLA itself but S/SW). Tomorrow will show true horror.

    If you search LaPlace in Twitter you’ll see a lot of people begging for help. That place is beyond help.

    Storm chasers who get stuck deserve no rescue in unsafe conditions imo. Back to weather - LaPlace appears it’ll be uninhabitable

    Get your car filled up with gas quickly - the country’s main supplier looks like it was bombed. Also show this to that idiot who said this storm didn’t look like a category 3 or what we.

    That censor is probably FUBAR’d - the eye is just west of NOLA now. It’s gone more east than forecast. NOLA is in trouble.

    Ida made landfall around 6 hours ago is still a 130 mph storm. Swampland does nothing to a storm. It has slowed down so much those small shrimping communities are going to be wiped off the map and part of the Gulf. NOLA is in for a world of wind damage itself.

    I know there is a trough that forms, but why are we a jackpot for rain? Is it cause that trough prevents the system from moving once it gets here?
