  1. Lawn growth has slowed considerably, Wrapping up the garden, Just tomato's and potato's left, Harvested the Yukon Golds, Red Pontiacs are next but still going to be a bit on the German Butterball barrel.
  2. Lot of places had frost overnight up here in NW Maine.
  3. I just went out today to scout out a 150 acre parcel for hunting of a friend of mine and the acorn crop is massive this year.
  4. My brother in law and his family of 12 grew up in Ste Pamphile and the 6 boys along with dad grew up loggers working in the woods of Que and NW Maine, One of the boys had cut a widow maker that kicked out and he tried to get away from it felling the wrong way and was killed driving a Jonsered 24" saw 6' into the ground while he was still holding the saw, That how quick accidents can happen.
  5. Yeah, You need max focus and wearing chaps, It only takes a second to be catastrophic.
  6. A few degrees higher last night, 45°F, Fall, 2nd best season, Nice crisp nights, Ripens the apples and when Pumpkinhead comes along.
  7. Picked up another sled, I feel pretty good about this winter.
  8. You may have to consider a further south residency to get away from that.
  9. Thanks, Like to see an early start to this one instead of getting all the snow in April like this past season.
  10. Yeah, That would be quite rough with white caps, I'll go if its 5-10mph, Not ideal, But its good for Salmom fishing, I like it below 5 mph or calm the best.
  11. Sweet, You lost a few mph with the camper canvas, How is that wrist/hand doing? Last time we talked you were seeing the specialist, Did you have surgery?
  12. Fishing bottom for lakers when the boats encountering white caps is quite a bit challenging to say the least, I'm usually on these bigger lakes so it gets pretty rough with winds either side of north.
  13. Yeah Tom, Calm nights here we radiate well typically, Been a pretty stiff wind out of the NNE today, The whole weekend was quite breezy, Was going to go to the lake and fish but no dice.
