    Ha, Yeah, Especially when the 12z HRRR has it 70 miles or so NE of the Nam, I hate these systems that keep showing these troughs.

    No help from the southern stream, Its all northern stream driven but we will need it to consolidate more.

    I certainly would not go any higher then that at this point unless we get the SLP further west.

    Yes, It has to or this ends up a lt event for some.

    Don't think you can expect anything large scale with the euro as far as adjustments, They will be incremental, Just hope you don't run out of time.

    It was better then 12z with the handling of the trough like all the 18z suite has been so far.

    Creeping upwards slowly, Now 38°F and looks like we may be starting to mix out as it just jumped to 42°F.........lol

    It would be helpful if we had more ridging out ahead of this too, But that just may be some spacing issues from today's that keeps it a bit flatter and east, But when you want some help from a SE ridge we don't have any.

    What i keep in the back of my mind is keeping an eye to see if it starts to consolidate more going forward and starts to lose more of the IVT look that it has had in previous runs especially yesterday.

    18z GFS was a slight improvement again @H5, Don't care what it shows right now at the surface.

    With the way the Euro has been, Are you trusting it 100%?

    I never use pivotal for that, Its terrible to toggle.

    That has been the direction it has gone in the last few cycles, If that continues, We start getting the surface low closer too.

    As we get closer, I would think its right, I mean, That wasn't totally zoinked like it can be, But its been a trend the last 4 cycles to improve @H5.

    This was an overall better outcome with an expansion of the precip field further west.

    A couple more tics in that direction and we start getting back to a few days ago.

    18z Nam is really digging the trough further south this run, That's what we want to continue seeing.

    Definitely, A +2 or 3 in Jan up here is still below freezing so its a non factor as we get into Jan-Feb as far as temps go, But we want a wet pattern too.

    Discussion for another thread but i don't think anyone wants to see a dry pattern in winter.
