  2. The avg snow for Nov here is a shade over 3" so if we see none, Its not a telltale for the remainder of winter.

  4. Out hunting this morning and sat for a few hours before scouting out the property were hunting, There was a beehive in a tree at least 12' off the ground the size of a beach ball, I was not getting up close to see if anyone was home in there, I'll try to get a pic next time out.
  5. Yup, Had 5 deer cross in front of me monday night around 6:30, Stopped and let them go and i said i'm going to wait a few more seconds and sure enough, Another ones comes across so i would have hit that one if i would have just taken off after the 5.

  14. Major upgrade, Offline from 10/24-11/7. Beginning October 24th, the 2022 WSR-88D operated by NOAA’s National Weather Service in Gray, ME will be down for approximately two weeks for an important upgrade. Technicians will refurbish and replace the pedestal, one of the most critical components of the radar, which is necessary for antenna rotation and positioning to capture data in all directions. The components are extremely heavy and will require the radome to be removed by crane and replaced when the work is completed. The radar and pedestal were designed to last 25 years, and this radar has exceeded its life-span. This activity is necessary to keep the radar functioning for another 20 years or more
  15. I noted that a few days back, 2 weeks of being in a hole here between 4 other sites.

  17. Weather looks good for opening day for resident firearm season for deer is Saturday up here, So i will be in the woods and see if we can get some venison.
  18. Ha, My favorite as well, I prefer it raw though.
  19. I've had bear meat, Its good but can be very tough if not butchered or cooked correctly.
