My friends in Portland who hate winter won’t like that. Honestly though who lives in Maine and hates winter?

Just now, kdxken said:Good friend of mine lives in Portland. She absolutely hates snow. It's her birthday today . I sent along the map so she'll likely be my ex friend.
I rest my case.

Some absolute weenie solutions from the GFS for next week over last couple of runs. Transfers, gets stacked and rots in the GOM. What a crazy way that would be to get Maine posters above average snowfall for the season.
At the very least, We surpassed winter 2015-16 by 2" so far.

The trails that got opened here were mobbed, yesterday and today. Of course I couldn’t go either day. Typical.
To many obstacles to navigate after the warmth the first part of the month, I'm done no matter if anything else falls, Not many clubs still grooming here.

But you were pretty excited about it though when it became clear you were gonna get a good storm….we’re all weenies at heart. Lol.
I don't think i was real excited for it, I was trying to save my carport i put up and succeeded, I'm trying to go fishing, I have some unfinished business to tend too.

I just finished after 5 hours. Driveway, vehicles, chicken run, free ranging areas…what a PITA. I broke my last shop broom when starting to clear the vehicles so that made clearing the bottom 9” of concrete a challenge. Whatever…it’s done.
3 hrs here, The sleet was a PITA, It would have been better if i left some snow on the driveway for the sleet to sit on top of rather then i had removed all the snow yesterday afternoon and the 3" of sleet was packed solid.

Glad the storm trended colder - my ‘hood was forecast to get that freezing rain
Here too, I guess you could say we were spared, But this 3" of sleet is unprecedented.

Going to head out here soon, Cleaning up 9.2" of snow with 3" of sleet on top of that should be fun.

Very suck. Much bad here.
I’ve got as much as 0.33” radial and shotgun blasts are going off all through the neighborhood. Caught a nice transformer flash while I was out measuring.
Really confirms that 0.75” ASOS measured flat ice is the right number around here for an ice storm warning.
Wow, Awful, Just heard from my brother in Alfred, No power, 100 yr old maple went down in his yard, Its brutal from you south.
