  1. This is where your doomsday prepping pays off.
  2. Maybe we can get 2' of frost in the ground before February's thaw.
  3. I’m not liking what I’m seeing so far for the 6th, But still some time left in the period, Will need to see some changes in the next couple days, Maybe we get some of this out of the way or lift further north to give the 6th some room to come further north, Low confidence for now.
  4. I want to hear people bitch how cold and snowy it is so I can laugh at them.
  5. My suggestions if you like this type of weather in late December I would probably think about a residence in a southern climate.
  6. The west of the river crew does not like congrats EMATT.
  7. Thats is my take as well, We can get by on a less favorable set up in many cases where other areas need it, A +2-3 month in Jan still yields snow up here temp wise, But a solid block and strong confluence is not very friendly when your closer to those sources, This is why we need a favorable storm track thru the GOM, Not one squeezed south of here to the ENE, So that’s all I’m looking at now, Lot of cooks in the kitchen of flow right now.
  8. Sometimes to much of a good thing is a bit much.
  9. Until some come onshore out west and get a good sampling, We wait.
  10. A good thing too, We need some prolonged hard freezes.
  11. That’s a scraper on the GFS, Squashed to the east by that block and 50/50 low.
  12. With where that PV sits, It won't take a whole lot to get a powder keg off the coast and nearby too.
  13. From what i have seen over the past few days, Yes, And even further out then that hour too, We just keep checking in on the ensembles until we get this within range of using OP runs.
  14. Don't really need to prepare much for anything at hr 252 on an op run.
  15. Yes, Like seeing this core being NW of the region, Last thing we need is it sitting over our heads.
  16. Still to far out to be of any concern either way.
  17. All gone here across the bridge, Not that there was much to lose, We had 3", So we start over again, Weds has been ticking a bit east ea run which helps your area and the western part of the state, Maybe eek out 1" here if were lucky, Then we wait on next week, At least its going to be cold going forward.
  18. Yes, They are possibilities, But that does exist and sits in the back of my mind, Strong confluence squeezes systems more ENE once it gets up towards the BM, Just my thoughts.
  19. For up here, That's close to a death sentence, If the Mid Atlantic or RIC is giving out high fives, I pretty much know what the outcome will be.
  20. 12z Nam has a nice high end advisory refresher for NNH, Western and Northern Maine on Weds as they transition to snow.
  21. Yes, That would be my pick right now, I'd keep an eye on the Meso's.
