    COVID-19 Talk

i think we need to define "well" for this to be a serious discussion.

your suggestions are not outlandish, but i think your time table is. This week is too soon. Next week is too soon. The week after is too soon. I know you don't agree, but sadly thats the case. You open up this week, or next, or the week after, and you've got a huge problem on your hands. As we keep trying to tell you.

I agree, they aren't helpful. All I ask is that you all (general you all) correct others in a nicer way when they do it. if you (general you) wanna sling mud, i can point you to the place to do it. (its not here)

and i appreciate you setting him straight. you could have done without this: stop posting this nonsense unless you have facts to back it up. We aren't going to be doing that here. Its fine you wanna correct someone, but I am telling you to find a better way to do it.

I guess it depends on what it is you want to see when you map by them zip code. If you just want to see counts, then the map on the left is fine. The map on the right is similar to population density. By doing the dasymetic map, you are taking that zip code data and adding additional spatial information, like buildings/residents in each as the creator said. I like them both for the purpose they serve. But if you just want to see counts by zip code then the map on the left is fine. I'm not sure how you figure out that buildings that can house 100 units would have the majority of cases, unless you know the personal information of all those cases... and i dont think that data is legally available due to HIPAA. So not sure how true the second map actually is.

Not sure, but they have been consistently inconsistent with each other for weeks. I try and stick with JH data if/when I do count difference.

mmmm thats definitely tricky. being forced to leave your house if you dont feel its safe to do so, yet your employer is demanding you show up, thus putting you at risk.
  18. thank goodness for severe chances, adds a bit of excitement to these ever boring days
