    Interesting that 98-99 was an analog for this winter and I was in Chicago that winter for the great news year snowstorm. I guess out here it's a colder version of that winter but nothing like it in the upper midwest

    That one was mostly a gfs storm. The other models never really got on board then the gfs lost it

    Not inside 5 days. 3 days out all the models lost the storm before bringing it back

    Yeah I think this is our shot. The other 2 opportunities have disappeared for the time being

    The low did go well east though. It just has a large enough shield that it doesn't make a huge difference here. Also 12z was absurd
