  1. 30 degrees in Chester at 6:00. Now 35 in Newark about to go into Prudential for Disney on ice.
  2. Main thread is getting to that unreadable point. Cheers to our first flakes. (I might have an outside shot).
  3. I have observed noticeable change in temps from the valley below me, elevation 350-400',to my property at the top of the hill, elevation 780'. Sometimes 3-4 degrees. The valleys take much longer to warm up in the morning.
  4. Hit 30 out here in west/central North Jersey.
  5. 30 for the low at 7:00 am. 41 currently. Feels great, with full sun. Leaf clean up in full effect.
  6. Over .75" now. Heavy rain continues. Should crack 1" by the time it wraps.
  7. 38 in Chester. Spotted a nice 6-pt strolling through the yard. The rut is on.
  8. Rainy October Sunday is ok. Need it anyway. Stew is simmering; hopefully the games are watchable today; Thursday night was abysmal.
  9. 39 currently. Clouds have moved in. At least yesterday was an excellent outdoor day.
  10. 40 here currently. Progged lows of 32 Thursday/Friday. Could be the end of the growing season for me.
  11. We need a good soaking. Been a rather dry fall. Thankfully spring and most of summer were wet.
  12. Down it goes on temps out this way. Just finished mowing and it was rather cool. 47 now.
  13. Progged low of 35 tomorrow night. Should be interesting. Nice, gentle rains continue to fall. Just in time.
  14. I haven't been following much of late. How do the prospects for rain look?
  15. My father always said the all day rains were better than the deluges from quick hitting thunderstorms. Could be an old farmer's saying or could have some validity.
  16. Woodstove will be required on Mother's day!
  17. Beautiful out. Solid 4" pack remaining. Birds chirping at the feeder. Sun doing some work on the southern facing roofs.
  18. 8.5" measured at 6:15 am. Driveway shoveling was a tough slog. Compaction in full effect now. Was concerned about the cold temps progged and the resultant glacier if I didn't get the driveway (stone/dirt) cleared.
  19. At least .25" out here. Everything in sight is sparkling. Thankfully, not cracking.
  20. Colder morning than I expected. 24 right now. My folks are up in Vermont outside of Fair Haven for the weekend, it was 2 degrees at 9:00 am.
