If he's so great, I'll follow him! What's his page?
He regurgitates what's discussed on here in a form that seems to excite teachers and housewives

Who cares.....its showing much more frozen, and not all rain.
You should know by now not to focus on any snowmap for anything more then when and where....not how much.

It's like 4-6" on the front end, deluge, and 1-2" on the back.
Looked that way for maybe Northern MD, otherwise not much for DC Metro..

My cold medication got the best of me this morning, I did post the NAO in error. However, I appreciate all the great feedback on the topic of the AO and the NAO.

Dca 9 inches as of 7pm according to the NWS. Wonder if the CWG figure of 9.8 was accurate.
the 9.8" was as of 7:50, not 7

Not sure if it was posted, but 9.8" measured at National Airport as of 7:50p

This post reminds me of 2010, when there was always debate on here about her forecasts.
In this day in age of access to actual real degreed Mets (unlike Palka) and real time model information, I have no idea why any weather enthusiast would give 2 sh*ts about what the local tv station says.

At 405 PM EST, numerous snow showers were impacting the greater Baltimore and Washington DC Metropolitan Areas. Visibilities will drop quickly to less than a quarter of a mile in some of these snow showers, creating hazardous road conditions in some areas. If you are driving, please slow down and prepare for changing road conditions. These snow showers will continue through mid-evening, before tapering to flurries around midnight. Temperatures will reach the lower 20s in the region overnight, so refreezing is likely, especially in those areas that have not been treated with salt or snow melt. Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be prepared for snow or ice covered roads.
Going on hour 2 of our "shower"

Remember to report your first flakes using mPING app on your smart phone. The data help radar meteorologists and operational staff understand where precipitation is making it to the ground!
Mets still use composite radar?

I will. Snow falling is better than snow accumulated. To me anyway. Would take 3 inches over 6 hours vice 6 inches over 3 hours. Sounds insane I know.
