Climatology tells us that the further north you go, the better chance you have of a White Christmas. Places like Boston and Hartford have seen them about 20-25% of the time. However, if you travel further south into the Mid-Atlantic, then a White Christmas only occurs around 10% of the time.Dec 8, 2021

Stein: NAO or North Atlantic Oscillation forecast continues to be in big negative territory. -NAO often increases the odds of cold and snowy weather in the northeast, but not always. Presently I have no confidence in wintry weather here anytime in the short-medium range forecast.
