  1. You're going to love the Tetons. If you have the time take a raft down the snake river. Few pics from my trip:
  2. Did you go through the Lamar valley? One of the prettiest places on Earth.
  3. I'm not sure he still is an ace . He has one of the biggest declines in spin rates since the new rules. At least the Red Sox only wasted 10 million on Richards.
  4. I wonder what it feels like to put a match to 324 million dollars?
  5. Really something to tell your grandchildren about not a 96 at Logan.
  6. Meanwhile in the Atlantic Northeast a fine evening. Doesn't get much better...
  7. I think you may have helped me solve a mystery I have wondered about for years. Not 75 ft from that tree is a 12 ft in circumference elm tree untouched by Dutch elm. I think it may be the nutrients. Both trees were in an area of predominantly black locust trees. I know black locust s are nitrogen fixers maybe that had something to do with it?
  8. Weird that you mention . I have split literally thousands of oak trees and had never seen one where the rings were so large. It wasn't in a very wet area so I was kind of surprised. Maybe somebody's buried under the stump
  9. You know your trees the grain is almost perfect.
  10. Regardless, dewpoints in the 65 to 70 range will make it feel humid. The one thing that will make it more tolerable is that Bufkit indicates good mixing with southwest wind gusts of 20-25 mph during the afternoon. Tolerable is better than nothing.
  11. Red oak, sugar maples nearby. https://youtu.be/hUpsiVKIJ3c
  12. Thankfully most of the day was drizzly and cool.
  13. You should have thrown a fit. I'm from Massachusetts!
  14. Why don't you grab some heat stroke while you're at it.
  15. In fact, dewpoints will drop into the upper 30s/lower 40s later this morning which is quite unusual for late June. High pressure building in will result in plenty of sunshine developing. 925T will only be around +14C later today, which will keep afternoon high temperatures in the middle to upper 70s in most locations. High pressure building in will weaken the gradient this afternoon, which may allow for localized sea breezes to develop. Nonetheless, a beautiful day with low humidity which will make it feel quite comfortable outdoors. Your grandchildren will be asking about the early summer of '21
  16. Awt . Plentiful rainfall to keep things lush and green. Drought LOL... More chamber of commerce days on tap. 3 AM Update... * Plenty of sunshine today with highs in the M-U 70s & quite comfortable humidity for this time of year
  17. Nasty ass 70° dew point. Timed perfectly with the arrival of the deer flies.
  18. Likely to have lasting damage. Drought and infestations are a bad combo. We got some much needed rain this past week, though not enough to reduce our long-term drought conditions. Nearly all of Northern New York is Abnormally Dry, with Franklin, St. Lawrence, Lewis and Jefferson Counties, including the Northern Adirondacks, in a Moderate Drought.
  19. That sucks. For as bad as we had it around here I never saw them eating pine trees.
  20. The Red Barn in Westborough. And yeah it always got ugly.
  21. Pretty skies late yesterday.
