  1. 85 with a dewpoint of 70 here. It's humid out there, but nothing like the tropical steambath that we had when dewpoints were in the high 70s.

Looks like very little chance of rain this weekend. Most of the advertised convection for this week didn't really pan out, and we got only about a third of an inch of rain for the entire week here. I'll be watering the vegetable garden today. Hopefully we'll see something on Monday.

Tomorrow looks like a decent chance of some more widespread showers/storms-today looks dry

For south of the city it looks pretty active for tonight. We have a flash flood watch in effect here. I was just looking at the latest models, and they're actually not showing a lot of activity for tomorrow now. This evening might end up being more active than tomorrow.

Big cell east of Reading could hit parts of middlesex if it holds

It's a very close call for our area. The northern part of the line heading into Mercer and Hunterdon could brush northern Middlesex and maybe even Union if it holds together. 21z HRRR has it missing just a shade to my south with heavy rain going through central Middlesex and light amounts up here, but we'll see. I'm holding off on watering the vegetable garden, hoping we get a decent amount of rain. Wouldn't be a surprise if it's just a shower though.

Looks like this HRRR run was way overdone. We don't have the heavy storms across west-central NJ that this 12z HRRR run was showing for 2pm. HRRR has since backed off somewhat.

We do have some small downpours popping up here and there. I'm getting a little shower here right now.

Im tired of this rain. Its like every late afternoon clouds up and rains...OK we get fri sat sun but you get my idea

Hasn't been a great summer for weather from Memorial Day on...yippee we get 3 days but it should be 6 days with rain chance after that

At least it's perfect timing though with 3 great days for the big holiday weekend. Even tomorrow with temps going into the low 90s, it won't feel bad out there with dewpoints only coming up a little to the low 60s. Couldn't have asked for a better 3 day holiday weekend.

Glad you made out better than we did. They haven't even started cleanup yet. I'm estimating 7 to 10 days before we have power again. Thankfully no damage to my house but many houses had trees crush them and yeah 3 deaths from trees falling on cars

I hope the power comes back for you much sooner than that. I can't imagine not having it for 7 to 10 days, wow. But the main thing is you're ok. Horrible that some houses got crushed and 3 people died. We root for strong t-storms, but of course we don't want to see a storm that's this incredibly severe.

No exaggeration worst storm I've ever experienced. Had to be 70-80 mph gusts. Total white out. Hail. My video conked out

Hey Stormlover! I'm glad you're ok. I lost power a few seconds after my last response to you. The power just came back on now -- over 18 hours of no power here. By far the longest power outage I've ever experienced. We didn't even lose power for long here during Sandy.

I agree with you -- this was the worst storm I've ever seen. Wind gusts were easily over 70mph here. Projectiles flying through the air like I've never seen before and the biggest amount of trees down that I've ever seen.

Couldn't cook dinner last night with the power out, so we decided to go to Longhorn Steakhouse (they didn't lose power there). Usually it takes 8 or 9 minutes to get there, but it took over a half hour because so many roads were closed. Was starting to think I couldn't get there but I found a way. It was amazing driving around and seeing the huge amount of damage. Definitely the worst t-storm damage ever since I've lived here.

Since the power was out so long, I decided to cancel our 4th of July cookout today. Not enough time to get things ready now. A shame because of the perfect weather, but we're gonna have the cookout tomorrow and Sunday instead. I will still light off some fireworks tonight though.
