  1. It hit 89 here, but felt pretty comfortable with the dewpoint down in the mid 50s. Nice day.

As Bluewave pointed out, it appears we're gonna have to wait awhile for any significant heat. Today was probably our hottest day for the next couple weeks.

  2. Weekend not looking completely dry anymore. The models now bring in some showers for Sunday afternoon.

Definitely gonna be beautiful tomorrow and Saturday though. Nice weather today too ... feels great out there with dewpoints in the low 40s, and they'll stay very low the next 2 days.

Looks like enough onshore flow to prevent any real heat next week, so I doubt we see any higher than low-mid 80s anytime soon. It'll turn a little muggy mid next week though with dewpoints rising to the 60s.

Had a couple really loud strikes

I did finally get a couple here too. Not a lot of lightning with this storm though. The main thing is the extremely heavy rain. It's coming down in buckets.

Beautiful Friday to Sunday. Next weekend also looks beautiful.

    We summer!

Yeah a few showers/storms tomorrow afternoon into early Thursday, but one of the nicest stretches of the year coming up after that. Extremely dry air (dewpoints might fall to high 30s Friday) but nice warm temps. Friday and Saturday look like top 10 days of the year.

This should taper off within the hour. Nothing to the sw of philly at the moment that would impact us later but still time for néw activity to fire

I see a few cells have popped up now to the SW that will be heading into Mercer County shortly, so we might see some action in a little while.

I'm up to .27" for the day so far, which includes a little downpour we had early in the morning.

    Look by TTN

Yeah that's a decent batch of rain that's about to move in, but the heavier stuff is going into northeast PA and northwest NJ. Also some heavier stuff along the coast, as Stormlover pointed out.

At least we'll get a decent watering from this batch that's moving in, and then we'll have to see about possible storms later. I wonder if this round of rain might stabilize things enough to mess up severe chances later. HRRR doesn't show much after this round of rain.

I doubt the 2nd rd is stronger than the first batch. We didn’t have much sun today

Flash flooding will be the bigger risk

Latest HRRR keeps the heavy rain to our northwest, but who knows with convection. We'll just have to wait and see.

  8. Yeah tomorrow not looking quite as impressive as it did a few days ago, but there will still be some t-storms and heavy downpours around. Probably will be some spots that get 1 to 2 inches of rain.

That looks like quite an airmass coming in for late week to close out the month. Dewpoints might fall to the 30s. We're gonna have some cool nights.

Pouring now with a bit of thunder and lightning

Had a weak t-storm here that dropped a tenth of an inch of rain. At least it held off until after cookout time, as expected. Definitely a little more than what I was expecting though. The rain coming in from PA is falling apart as expected, but it was a bit of a surprise that these cells popped up.

  10. I'm glad Saturday and Sunday are looking better and better. 2 out of 3 isn't bad for the holiday weekend. I usually have my cookouts Sunday and Monday, but I'm moving it up to Saturday and Sunday.

.03", split here.  My mother in law in Piscataway is nearing .50".  Hope that little line near quakertown can hold and deliver a little rain.

Yeah I got 0.72" here. Very happy with that, but I'm sorry that you missed out.

  12. Still pouring here. Yesterday I said that I didn't like the morning timing of this because it ruins what could have been a great severe weather day, but it's nice that we're getting a good soaking. The ground had really dried out.

Heavy rain  and thunder. Decent storm to start the season

Yep nothing severe here, but very heavy downpour with some thunder. Glad that the vegetable garden is getting a good watering.

Friday could be the warmest day of the week.

And the humidity will drop like a rock on Friday to go along with the warm temps.

  15. Latest HRRR gives us some heavy rain during the morning tomorrow. Lousy timing if you want a severe weather day, but I'm hoping we can get a decent soaking.
