Yea, that's the date. Didn't realize it was that warm. Must have been shorter lived than this torch. I do recall it was firehose SW flow upsloping into the Taconics and Greens in SVT. 3-5" here while Albany downsloped hard and had like .30" or something absurd.

Couple years ago I had like 3.5" of rain with only like a 12" pack and didn't wipe it out. I feel like it only went down to like 6"? I cant remember the details, but it was obviously a colder cutter. Edit: Jan 2019. Some pretty bad flooding locally

What a CAD pit.. Mid 20s most of the night here and winds mostly calm as South winds are really the only winds that don't do anything at my location. Once they turn SE then its all over..ha I was at 35F and jumped to 41F in like 30 seconds with just a minimal gust and then goes calm and drops back down. I see DDH and BTV and blowing pretty good out of the south.

I was pretty surprised to find 32" depth at 11am on Friday almost a full 24 hours after the heavy heavy stuff stopped in East Dorset. Pretty amazing that the 24hr state record could have also been in East Dorset at 730ft in the Valley if there had been an official observer or someone who cleared just once. Imagine the state record for VT being held in a somewhat snowhole above Jay, Stowe, Stratton, etc? 50 years from now weenies looking and saying how the hell is East Dorset the 24 hour record holder...lol. What could have been. Ha

That's pretty much the scene I saw yesterday when I finally was able to get out of my driveway ( my plow guy got stuck for 5 hours somewhere) when I did my tour to the north 5 miles. Every car at every house was totally buried, if it wasn't cleaned off, you couldn't see any sliver of what type of car it was.

Yea, the timing worked out kind of well actually for him to be able to clear. If the snow started at say 11am on 12/17 instead of near 11pm-12am he would not have been able to clear and snow would have been over and he would have to just report pretty much the depth at 7am which also would have settled too. May have been like 35-38" instead of 44.8"
